In this, too, the colours are outstanding. It's much more mellow than City Sennin, though.

he looks kinda sad...but like he's ok really, while he's playing
its not often you find such emotional pieces, the use of colour and line are also very effective, it has a soft movement to it.
crit-wise, i think his arms might be a little bit short...but i had to really focus on trying to find something to crit there!

That is really good. The pose looks so realistic yet the colours make it almost dream like

This is fantastic. I'm shoddy with watercolours, but either way, it's unusual to find someone with a definitive style when it comes to painting. You've got the lighting spot-on, the the tones are very well observed. It's something I'm trying to get right; painting with tones instead of linearly, and it's bloody difficult!
So well done. Love the colours too. How do you get that spotty, grainy texture?

As for the spotty, grainy texture.. I think it's the combination of the texture of the paper + mixing with dried ink colours.
