Description
The War begins!Once again the layout is all Mike Zeck, and the characters are all owned by their respective creators. Don't they look great together? Amazing when you consider how different they all are.

It was a really fun project, although it was completely mad and I made loads of daft mistakes along the way! Learned a lot about running these challenges though (The main thing being not to do it again!) Actually I probably would..!

The greatest thing I've ever had the opportunity to be apart of. It really brought me out of my shell back then. Trying to find inspiration again and I came back to these. It's a tad nostalgic now.

She's a great character - and definitely suited the Wolverine position from the original picture!

That's The Canadian! He's the creation of the very talented and the Captain America figure of the heroes in our version of the Secret War!

Kost, I just had a brilliant idea on how to execute my last page for Chapter 8, and I was wondering if I could use this piece of yours incorporated into it? If you want to know details, I'll be happy to note ya. ^^

Nice piece! Who is the "spidey" looking character dressed in green/yellow & black? That's a really nice costume design. Keep up the excellent work!

Thanks a lot! The Spidey character is The Jamaican Spider - created by He dropped out at the end of the second chapter unfortunately, but you can see a bit more of the character on his page. He's like Spider-man but...um... jamaican!

Dead Baby Lad??? Seriously?
New sign ups in a few months time! I'll announce it in a journal. New villains will be arriving first, followed by new heroes the following month. No need to do anything yet, although of course we'll need some kind of reference for your character when you sign in!
Thanks for the !

So stoked! I am about eight pages in to the first Secret Wars, has anyone been collecting hardcopy?
I would love to print each page and have a book made, has anyone been doing that so far? It's a terrific concept!

Ah, the iconic group shot...
And my boy looks awestruck enough to make up for Gadget Imp... Totally in character, since this was probably not exactly what he expected after only having been Virtus for a few weeks... XD
Heck, even Shaktu looks awestruck. Don't ya just love those comic book face-adaptive mask materials? XD
Hmm... On an unrelated note... Seems like we have four letter-themed heroes in the mix (Gadget Imp, the Canadian, Virtus and Stunboy, five if we count the Alpha and Omega symbols on Dr. Destini...) Just a random observation.
Anyways, grande work! (Which STILL doesn't cover my thoughts about this comic!)

Good point about Shaktu and Virtus - It's the mask that makes Virtus look so shocked - the white eyes with visible pupils in a dark mask - useful for a scene like this! You can explore the rookie Virtus' reaction to what he's seen in your first task! The big letters are a super hero standard aren't they - nice to have some proper heroic characters in the mix with all these anti heroes and vigilantes!

True enough. Not what I had in mind when I first designed him, but it's good to see other people make good uses of my ideas.
And the monthly piece will be with you soon.
