Description
The source of the mystery voice revealed! Zerkov (owned by ) flanked by Raggedy Annie and Jigsaw Jill (who belong to ) and 's Steppenwolf watches as 's Silver Scarab and 's Slaughter Gray interrogate one of the captured heroes.The heroine is of course 's Redd Rocket! Things are looking grim...

I didn't draw the whole thing - it was an art challenge project I ran which lots of others contributed to. If you look in my Gallery you'll see the other bits I did, and I collected all the pages in a series of journals, although it was so long ago I think a few of the artists have since deactivated their accounts so there are a few gaps.

Enough gasping, onto the real challenge!
As several others probably have mentioned, the detail in this is exquisite.
And my hyper-sensitive vision almost missed that Jamaican Spider mask trophy! Good work on incorporating some plot devices into the intro for Chapter 3!
Out of curioisty... Did you paste that brain diagram onto Slaughter Gray's monitor, or...?

Thanks for the kind words on this page! As ever, you've spotted lots of the little details which some of the others might not have spotted! Steppenwolf brought back the Spider's mask to Zerkov at the end of Chapter Two - and I thought he seemed like the sort of person to want trophies! Maybe that's what they have in mind for Redd's brain too! You're definitely the first to spot that! It's a photograph lifted from a quick google search and then inverted and coloured and spun around a bit - I can't take the credit for drawing it - but I thought it was a nice touch!

Yeah, that was one of those happy photoshop moments - I hadn't planned that when I drew the pic but the red and green looked so good together.

Nice lighting and use of complimentary colors and neutrals.
Looks like Redd's in trouble. I wonder how the rest of the hostages are fairing... and what has happened to the spider? The plot thickens.

LOL - as has already been noticed, the villains have stripped the heroes of anything which makes them more difficult to draw!
As for the Spider - it looked like he was killed by Steppenwolf in the previous chapter - at least, that's what Steppe claimed when he handed over the bloodstained mask to Zerkov...

LOL! What? A comic book death that wasn't permanent? Sounds hard to believe! In all seriousness of course, Omer pulled out, so we came up with a way of writing his character out of the story but leaving an element of mystery in case he wants to come back.

Oh okay... I kinda figured as much. If he is actually dead I think that's kinda cool as far as showing how ruthless these villains are.

Yeah, I wanted to make sure that the character was definitely 'written out' as opposed to just vanishing - so if he does leave it serves the story in some way. That's what is important here after all - the story - not winning or losing. Of course if he doesn't come back we'll find some way of making sure the Spider is returned to his rightful place and time at the end of the war!
