This project began with entering a competition I ran a few months ago in which artists produced a piece of work featuring my character Vigil, themed in some way to the topic of the Seven Deadly Sins. The image which he submitted imagined an encounter between Vigil and his serpentine assassin, Asphyxia:

This in turn led to him creating another image with Vigil and Asphyxia meeting in a science fiction setting, and that image (and the accompanying story) inspired me to continue the adventure. So, check out the below image as a Prologue to Vigil's latest adventure:

This story is going to have a mature content warning on it as it's going to get pretty dark. Vigil isn't just a person - she's a symbol - an icon - and Asphyxia has become obsessed with the idea of destroying the icon. Can Vigil survive? We'll have to wait and see!
