Abilities: Lunus is capable of harnessing consumed energy in the forms of pyrokinesis, electrokinesis and telekinesis. They can also harness this energy to dissipate and reform matter on their bodies, which allow them to be able to hide and summon their wings, as well as reattach severed body parts as long as the part is intact. Using their power-based abilities is separate from natural energy reserves that all creatures have in the form of glycogen. The energy reserve for power is held within their orb, which also holds their soul. All energy based attacks or abilities will result in the orb, as well as any other illuminated organ glowing and sparking with energy. The illuminated flesh is where Lunus can channel their energy into precise attacks, rather than firing from the orb itself. For example, Lunus can breathe a stream of lightning and fire from their maw, which lasts around 3-5 seconds depending on their reserves.

Despite their power-based abilities, Lunus relies mostly on their own strength and agility unless using their power is necessary.

Weaknesses: As aforementioned, Lunus must be sparing with how much power-based energy they put out. As a result, if they become completely drained of energy, they will be unable to summon their wings, or dematerialize them if summoned. Any energy in the form of heat is also drained at a much quicker rate in cold environments. Their own physical endurance, although substantial, cannot carry them far if they are out of energy and unable to become airborne.

Lunus is extremely vulnerable to any and every form of energy-sapping ability, the prominent one being coldness. Any enemy with an ice or cold-based ability, Lunus will promptly flee from. However, Lunus is quick to anger, their temper leading them to reckless actions that otherwise they wouldn't risk. These actions can cause them to become severely injured in the process.

Description: A draconic, duopedal build (can stand on two legs but prefers to stand on four) with offwhite silky fur, whose texture resembles that of a malamute. The entire bottoms of their feet are padded, akin to a gorilla. Their claws are infused with metal, leading to their glistening sheen. Their inner flesh, eyes and the orb atop their head are all luminescent, sporting a faint glow that intensifies when Lunus is feeling strong emotion. When summoned, Lunus sports four feathered wings, whose shape is akin to an eagle's.

Personality: Lunus is a naturally skittish individual, prompting to flee rather than to fight. They do however sport a short temper that can lead to all sorts of issues. They have a strong defensive tendency, having been left alone for the majority of their lives. Once these walls are crossed however, Lunus is a carefree individual who will oftentimes pull pranks on those they've acquainted themselves with.They are a free-spirited, almost playful creature, although they will fiercely defend those they hold close to them. This protective impulse will often put them up to reckless actions that may even hurt more than they help.

Above all, Lunus wants to try to be the best friend they can be, and although they battle conflicted emotions, they will put aside their own feelings if it is for someone whom they truly care for.

Backstory: Anomalies are the happenings of nature that cannot be deciphered by science. Among these anomalies are cryptids-- creatures that there appear to be one of a kind that evade the laws of science and physics, as well as that of human encroachment. BigFoot, Lochness, Mokele Mbembe, Chupacabra, all of which whose existence is known only by the multitude of reported sightings by locals or tourists within a designated point of interest. Among these cryptids is a draconic creature whose sightings have appeared throughout the majority of Eurasia-- the Maenokoto known as Lunus.

With the origin point being one of the isles off the coast of Ireland, how Lunus's eyes first opened along the steep cliffs that bordered the frigid ocean below. They first emerged from a cave-in along the rocky surface. Unlike most cryptids, Lunus began as a cub-- a smaller creature, who over centuries would grow. Taking their first tentative steps out into the sunlight, the creature blinked as their clear sapphire eyes adjusted to the blinding light, their gaze turning to the bright orb in the sky that burned when they stared for too long. This was the sun. This was the sky. This was their first day. The world was empty, vast expanses of cliffside were all Lunus could see. They called out for others of their kind. A call akin to that of a seabird, high-pitched and ringing out. Surely someone could hear them. And yet, nobody came.

Lunus was a creature of energy. Any form of energy could be consumed, unlike most organic life. Heat, light, electricity even biofuel. All forms of energy. However, it would be many years before Lunus would discover but they could harness it to their abilities. Days would turn to weeks. Weeks would turn to months. Months would turn to years. Lunus became aware of humanity, how dangerous they were. Hungering for any form of energy, they would eagerly devour whatever they could. Crops, livestock, electricity for housing, sometimes even humans themselves.

They would remain in this cycle for many years, trying to survive and evade humanity, yet also trying to discover a greater purpose in their life....

Perhaps one day, even another one of their kind.
