Robo Machine - Night Ranger

Night Ranger (GoBot, 1984):
A blue redeco of the Machine Robo Harley Robo toy, Night Ranger converts from robot to Harley Davidson Electra Glide motorcycle.

Harley Man (Machine Men, 1984):
The fourth toy from the fourth wave of figures, Harley Man was released by Bandai Australia in 1984. He remained identical to the original white Harley Robo toy, albeit packaged on a blue backing card.

Later in 1984, the figure was re-released with his GoBots name and faction on a new black backing card depicting a yellow-tinted alien landscape. A running change in 1985 saw the figure replaced with its blue variant.

Well, here's another fine looking second-hand GoBot for the collection. Well, technically anyway, given this one falls under "Robo Machine" (still owned by Bandai, so it counts), and the GoBots version is blue, as apposed to this white variant. Still, it's totally a GoBot in my book.

For those curious; according to Wikipedia, Robo Machine was a European transforming robot toyline released by Bandai from 1982 to 1988. Robo Machines was a short-lived revival from late 1992 to 1993. The line was initially a European release of the Machine Robo line, before gradually becoming the counterpart to Tonka's Gobots line. The line appeared in the UK, France and Germany, amongst others... Personally, I'm always gonna think of them as "GoBots" anyway. Much catchier title, in my opinion. And this Night Ranger is definitely close enough. ^.^
