Description Beginning an adventure, that one of them never knew they would find themselves in and the other still has no clue about, rides Argos; the farmer boy hero who wields his trusty sickle and thirst for adventure. Along for the ride is Floyd, the anthropomorphic never gonna stop talking lizard whose muscular body is seriously clashing with his red v-neck shirt, flowing dirty blond hair, and what appear to be women’s pants. Argos and Floyd, upon landing in the small pit stop like town of Quikkystop, immediately split from each other, not even having exchanged names or goals. Argos headed towards an octagon shaped building and explored the town like a normal person. Floyd, comparatively, barrel rolled in one direction until he landed near a 10 foot tall black fence. After flirting with the black fence, because Floyd doesn’t discriminate, and peering through its incredibly thick bars Floyd could make out faint signs of movement. Floyd, not being one to miss things happening in places he probably shouldn’t be, catapulted himself upward from the first bars all the way to the top of the fence in one epic motion. Unfortunately, upon making his descent over the fence, still in one action, Floyd’s shoelace caught onto the fences top layer of bars causing him to dangle upside down for a few seconds before embarrassingly falling to the ground, taking a bit of damage, in what appeared to be a graveyard. Floyd spotted zombies walking around and decides to attempt an obscuring mist. This fails, however, and instead just causes embarrassment and more flailing. Floyd tries to show a zombie his VIP pass from the King, but since it’s a zombie, it doesn’t care. The zombie attempts to swipe at Floyd, but Floyd grabs the zombie by the arm. Another zombie comes to attack Floyd, but Floyd doesn’t notice, and just in the nick of time, still not noticing the other zombie, he moves the zombie he has in a grapple between him and the other, causing it to kill his grappled opponent. Floyd then turns the undead, causing them to run away and fall over each other. He then lights a torch, which scares the zombies even further, and then sets them on fire, killing them. The final zombie comes at Floyd. He skirts around the zombie and grapples it from behind. He then proceeds to tell the zombie his back-story, about how his father wanted him to become a dentist, but he didn’t. And upon finishing his story, he bites the neck of the zombie. He then kicks the zombie, but forgot he was still holding it and falls with it. He kills the zombie, but looks dumb. … Argos enters the octagonal building and finds a large man yelling at a smaller man about a “problem” their little town is having. Argos inquires as to what their problem is and they tell him that the dead have risen and that they had to reinforce the fence to keep them in. Argos claims to be able to stop the undead problem. They tell him that he’ll either have to prove his worth, or get a pass to enter the graveyard, as it is locked to prevent anyone getting in and moreover, anything getting out. They tell Argos that the witch might have more information as to what brought the dead to life. Argos expects a reward, but the two men tell him they’ll work it out once he’s finished the undead problem. Argos goes and talks to the witch woman, who informs him of the Lord Bemberland’s deal with death. The witch seems to have an odd infatuation with the undead, Argos uses this as a sick burn while leaving her tent. In the distance, Argos hears what he assumes to be a bird. When in reality, it is Floyd fighting zombies. Using his sickle, Argos is able to break into the fence and spots the zombies that are shambling about. Argos springs into action, jumping off a tombstone and slashing a zombie in half. He attempts to trip another zombie while running, but fails and in a last-ditch effort to save his balance, throws his sickle into the distance. The sickle lands directly in front of Floyd’s face as he lays on top of a dead zombie. Argos attempts to run and grab his sickle, but misses and falls directly into an open grave. When he lands he is bitten in the shoulder by a zombie, twice. He finally pushes the zombie off of him and is aided by Floyd. Floyd tries to help Argos get out by offering him a rope. But instead of allowing him to use it to climb up, he throws the whole bundle into the grave. Floyd throws his backpack into the grave, crushing the zombie’s weak skull. Floyd gets his backpack back, and gives Argos his sickle. In an attempt to help Argos out of the grave, he is accidentally pulled in. Both of them scramble to try to get out of the hole, but fail like short dogs trying to jump on a tall bed. While flailing about, zombies drop into the grave. Argos manages to kill one, but in doing so buries his sickle in the earth. He again tries to escape, but breaks his sickle off the handle. Floyd takes care of the other zombie and attempts to heal Argos, but is unable to do so. Luckily, a young man is able to help them out by dropping a ladder into the hole with them. Argos, in a fury of pain and humiliation, storms off. He then goes up to a merchant’s stall wherein there is a merchant staring at a string on his finger repeating the word “radiator” over and over again. Argos rips the string off and the man finally regains his composure. Argos tries to get a new sickle from him, but the only one he can offer is obscenely expensive. Unless of course, Argos can solve a riddle. He can’t. Argos demands a better price, and threatens the merchant with the blade of his sickle. The man decides to “consult his associates” and closes the curtains. Argos isn’t having any of it, however, and when he opens the curtains he sees the man trying to escape, as well as his wife, following suit. The man gives Argos a replacement sickle, just like the one he had. To prove a point, Argos rips a wheel off of the Merchant’s Cart and angrily heads to the entrance of Lord Bemberland’s family Crypt. In the first room he finds a table with rotten food on it. It clearly showed that it was an offering room that was unable to be cleaned thanks to the undead waking. He finds two doors, one of which is rusted. He is able to force the door open and finds a room in which the dead were prepared for burial. In a coffin he finds the body of the last of Lord Bemberland’s descendants laying with an amulet around her neck. He tests to see if the body is going to come back to life, and after finding that it isn’t he leaves and goes through the other door. He walks down a set of stairs into a crypt room with coffin boxes lining the walls. He checks one of the coffin box doors, but doesn’t hear anything, and after only finding a shovel, he leaves the room and follows a path of blood that leads into a room with a large statue in it. The statue was of a large woman holding the crest of the Bemberlands, which was a hay bale, a mustache, and two smiling lions. The trail lead behind the statue, where a dead body was laying. The only thing on the body was a note that he could only make out as a warning toward the undead. He finds another coffin room, but they were all magically locked. In the next room he finds the king’s Coffin box, that was decorated with gold, and had a portrait and box of medals next to it. He turns back to the statue room and pulls the crest from the statue’s hands. This causes an earthquake, and Argos can hear moans coming from both hallways. He decides to go towards the one with the most moaning and finds that all of the zombies have awoken from their coffins. Argos’ battle begins. MEANWHILE, IN FLOYD LAND. After Floyd and Argos were helped out of the hole by the small man whose armor was too big for him, he hugs the man and leaves. Floyd finds the merchant who he had tied the string of remembrance to and takes it from the table it was left on. He tries to convince the merchant that he is a woman, however, this fails. And he instead decides to ask about the coveted groove magic. Floyd then has a brain blast in which he remembers that groove magic is a rare magic that, if not used directly, can only be summoned underground if someone is playing music. Figuring this out, he goes to the bar in search of a music player, but first he gives the merchant 20 gold, hugs him, and tips his hat to the woman in the caravan. Floyd, being the acrobatic son of a toot he is, barrel rolls into the bar. Everyone looks at him like an idiot. Floyd goes to the bar and gets a drink of milk from the barman, James the gnome. Instead of paying the 2 silver for a mug of milk, he gives James 2 gold. James just assumes he ripped Floyd off and snickers merrily away. Floyd drinks his milk and regains some health. He then shakily rolls under a table where twins were sitting. The twins were bounty hunters, named John and Jake. Floyd introduces himself to the two. John immediately hates Floyd and contemplates ways to kill him. Jake, however, thinks he’s an alright dude. Floyd asks the two if either of them can play music, they both say no, but point to a goblin named Ferris who might be able to help him. Floyd tells the two his back-story about his mother, being a dead rodeo clown. John laughs, Jake is sad. Floyd thanks the two for their help and creates water to refill his glass. Floyd catches a stray droplet with his tongue, impressing the two. John hates Floyd slightly less. He gives the two men 20 gold apiece and puts it in his empty mug. Floyd attempts to barrel roll away, but smacks the table the whole way out. James, seeing all this money laying there, attempts to stealthily switch the mug of gold with a mug of ale, Jake doesn’t take notice as he waves to Floyd. John, however, having quickly forgotten about Floyd when shown money, notices and calls James out. When John tries to confront James, Floyd decides to show his VIP pass from the King. James examines it thoroughly and then responds, “I can’t read.” Floyd then punches the gnome in the face, attempting to knock him out. James yells for his guard Orc, and from behind a curtain where he stood like a broom in a closet, emerges a very large orc named Tiny. Seeing all of this commotion, Ferris and his partner flee the scene. Floyd, along with John and Jake, all begin battle with Tiny. Tiny, being a little too large for the shabby bar, accidental smashes his fist through the ceiling, getting his arm stuck. Floyd back flips and in mid air smacks the orc in the jaw with his mace-tail. Floyd lands, and the orc yanks his fist free and brandishes his axe. Jake swings his sword across and cuts the orc in the side, causing tremendous pain. But not quite as much pain as Floyd, who was struck twice in the shoulder by Tiny’s axe. Floyd attempts to tie the string around the orc’s finger, but fails and his thrown back. He shakily lands and tries to give a pep talk to his allies. John smacks the orc in the face with his club. He angers the orc, and Tiny swings his axe to try and cleave John in two. He instead gets his axe stuck in the ceiling. In an attempt to pull it free, he pulls the ceiling down as well and is buried under a pile of rubble. Floyd then lights a torch and sets the debris aflame. James, seeing his bar in ruin, passes out. Floyd quickly puts out the fire and gives the orc, who might possibly be very dead, 20 gold. Floyd then gives Jake and John their money back. Floyd heals James’ broken nose enough to stop its bleeding and apologizes to the unconscious body. Floyd then barrel rolls off into the distance and attempts to heal himself. He fails. To be continued…
