Description
lets talk about cloth. yes I know this ones a little sloppy but believe it or not about half of it was drawn on a bus ride to disneyland. XDanyway lets get started by talking about the density of cloth
1. nomral shirt flows easily with movement. classic. maybe felt-like cloth, good for regular shirts or sweaters
2. loose shirt, perhaps silk. very delicate, wrinkles easily, billows in the wind. it\'s very good for a formal blouse or dress or something like that.
3. a good, stiff cloth. POSSIBLY cotton but best worn as a jacket or something. as you can see it\'s very stiff, and doesnt change form very easily
4. now lets look at looseness. see this big thick floppy sleave? it looks buly and heavy, keeps you warm but dont take it to alaska. the desnity of cloth can tell a lot about who a person is and the climate of the place they\'re in notice though, how different the material looks from the example next to it. the cloth flops around the arm and the wrikles and folds are big and free
5. thin spray on sleeve, good for going out and having a good time in so-so weather. see how the clothe presses close to the arme and the wrinkles are thin
6.if a cloth is flat, it doesnt show too many wrinkles, but the design should be off just a bitt to make it look real
7. the more wrinkled the cloth is, the more the design should be different, notice how it changes with the waves of the cloth here.
8. here the cloth bunches up on the string. see how one side looks scrunched togeter, but the other side isnt? such an effect can simply be done by just puting a bunch of outward going lines.
9. the same thing is demonstrated here, only different. the lines show the cloth is twinsing. it\'s pretty simbe, first draw out the shape and then add the lines. the effect is simple yet realistic!
10. see the jeans? this example shows that the cloth lines go in the direction that the cloth stretches. easy, right?
11. this wet shirt is....well, wet. the water weighs down the whole cloth, so everything should hanging in a downward motion, if the cloth is touching skin, add some wet spot so it looks like the cloth stuck to the body. thats a good effectfor sweaty bodies (ooh, baby!)
12.the lines on this pillow are few because its well stuffed and undisturbed. doesnt it look so soft and fluffy?
13. pressing down on the pillow makes it wrinkle. so make lines leading form outside of the pillow to the point of pressure. that gives it a concavial effectish thingamajigggg...
14. wee a ribbon! notice it isnt just a long thing, it spins around and changes sides!!!
experiment with different types of cloth, see what works and how. the best leaning experience is your own after all!

a bus ride to disney land! TT-TT
I'm so jealous!
I hate living up here in Canada. ;__;
when I wonder around aimlessly and take a bus ride
I find myself at a native reserve! @__@
Damnit! Dx<
very good clothing. n__n
I never really pay attention to how heavy the cloth is
or the density, that can really sometimes be the downfall in a drawing
quite nice ;D
