would you mind sharing some knowledge about watercolors? i really like how you make the hair, for example, especially when it comes to colors. because it looks like having a lot of colorful gradients but yet there is strong shade also looking like having gradient (is it just painted on top and multiplying the layer below since this paint is transparent) while the first layer was bright and painty coloring, which would be the end light color after the picture is done? i just love how you achieve the reflective light effect, it looks amazing, and the pictures are always colorful and interesting. you're amazing!
or, would you be able to post something like pictures of step by step how you color chibis? you mentioned beforee that chibi and normal artwork technique is different, and the chibi tutorial you did seems to be a little outdated (you got way better, and 3 years passed since then so thats understandable) but even photos of step by step would be amazing - but you posted a step by step photos of how you colored that girl with sword and flowers in the background, is the technique the same as you use for chibis?
im sorry for writing so much and asking all of this, and if you don't want to share the details of how you paint, then thats alright and i will respect your decision. keep on the amazing job you're doing with every piece

Yeah.. That chibi tutorial is kinda old. I used to paint chibis in simpler way before. I paint chibis almost the same as regular drawing now. That step by step you mentioned shows it well. You got the idea right! I draw the lower layers brighter and then add some transparent layers to make the lower layers show thru the top layers. I do it to create more complicated color shades.
I should create some new step by step. I'll try to do it when will have more free time and a good drawing for it ^^

Actually after I noticed how you could be making these reflective lights with just painting, without any opaque paint, I tried to do something like that in my recent drawing, and it looked amazing, basically just painting a gradient of bright saturated colors from bottom to top. After painting shades it looked really nice. And i think i became less scared of saturated colors too
