Description
well it's finally finished i started his piece quite some time ago and kept comming back to it but never finished it. i saw these images online seprately and thought they would make a great portrait drawn together. this piece was a bit of a challenge and really took me out of my comfort zone. i'm not typically a portrait pencil artist but i had alot of fun with this.one thing i did very differently was using a white prisma color pencil for blending and highlighting. it gave the piece a much more glowy magical look. i'm glad i was able to complete this homage to one of the best comic movies i've seen inna while.
personally i think thor came out beer then loki what do you think.

Very bold and striking contrast. Choosing graphite to portray this really helps amp up the focus on the theme and just what sorts of thoughts and conflicts both characters face. I can't express just how much I love the underlying symbolism that comes with these two sharing a simple glance like this. Gorgeous!

wow. I love the intensity on their faces. Thor's is an aggressive intensity, and Loki is looking much meeker than he, but you can see the steely resolve in his eyes....wow. this is incredible.

Wow, great job, I can imagine it took you a long time to do it. Did you get a lot of stuff on your hands? It looks like a charcoal piece.

Brilliant work over here! I love how you got the metallic texture of their helmets and armor with this medium.

This is really cool, I thought it was photoshop at first, because of the effect the white color pencil gives it. Great work!

you've got the same problem as i do have: don't you think we should try to work more careful, so that the texture made by the pencils can hardly be seen anymore? besides that, i really like the way you illustrated the shining metal of the armour!

i agree that thor looks a bit better than loki here, might just be the way the lighting is, but he also has more detail. just all around he came out better. i would almost try again, and best of all is to continually push beyond your comfort zone. do things that are new expirement and improve. the worst that can happen is you don't like something. but practice makes perfect. good job and thor looks awesome.

There's nothing like the raw feeling in a traditional drawing like this. This is skillfully executed especially regarding the metal which is a hard thing to do with pencils.
Well done!

I think that the profiles are well drawn but I think that what takes a bit away from them is the background, it would be best if it could be uniform if you know what i mean (please dont take it the wrong way) have you tried using a chammy to make this uniform?

yes i know exactly what you mean. the funny thing is live in person you don't see all those line strokes like you can in the scanned version i suppose i should have blended it with something and rescanned it thats just lazyness on my part heh
