Description dang, it's been a while
here's the gist
i'm putting the title on hold because of coding inefficiency

i've discovered my way of coding in flash is inefficient that's an understatement, it's way archaic

nowadays people use flashdevelop or other 3rd party software alongside flash to code the games, not clobber up the text in the actionscript pannel anymore

so i had a few choices,
- continue with the bug and glitch ridden method (as above) and try to hack it up (i'll mention some of the bugs below)
- learn flashdevelop and dual windows and mac (flashdevelop is windows only and most of my other software is mac)
- find an alternative

i've decided the latter, if i'm going to learn something new, might as well it be a recent new
and good news being i've found an alternative i'll discuss in progress 5

now the glitches in progress 4
why, it looks perfectly acceptable you say

a bunch of code was reused from the previous pudu kamudu and that was good for a single character, with the introduction of character shifting there're problems like the bg shift is independent from other objects, eg when shifting between characters the ground moves first then the characters causing them to jump or fall when some are on different heights
(i've duck taped it to the point that it's a rare occurrence but still possible)
another would be pancake occasionally falling through the crate
actually most of the problems can be summed up in object interactions

and i'm sure you've all played some sort of flash game and their mechanics are flawless, and i'm stumped
