Description A cornershot weapon with a bullpup mechanism. If you think about it, that shouldn't feasible in real life, at least to my knowledge. I wasn't thinking about it, but I reused the monitor component from my last MOC, the Sticky Launcher. So the weapon can turn 90 degrees left or right maximum, that's the gist of a cornershot weapon.

I know it's a real gun, but see Sandtrap's comment above.

i kinda figured that out but i'd already commented
as long as the actual firing pin is in t the front then theoretically it could work because i know the p90 twists it's bullets 90 degrees before firing!

Stylish moc, great construction, very compact, and frankly? The whole physical realism angle is kind of back-seat to how COOL it looks.

Of course, I can forgo realism to say it fires lasers rather than bullets.

He's referring to the fact that a bullpup weapon with cornershot would be physically impossible based on the conflicting mechanics.

A corner-shot weapon rotates at the half-way point or further forward, letting it shoot around corners, but that requires a much shorter barrel so the clip and firing pin can be located farther forward.

A bullpup weapon sets the clip and firing mechanism as far back as the stock will allow, providing a much longer barrel than a rifle of comparable size would otherwise be able to manage. The Steyr AUG, for example, which manages a barrel length comparable to most sniper rifles in a body that's closer to an assault rifle.

The problem with taking the two ideas and overlaying them as done here (Stylish as it is...) is that the extended barrel of a Bullpup gun would have to pivot in the middle for the corner shot technology, which anyone with any basic understanding of the workings of a gun knows... Doesn't do anything but force the bullet out the side of the barrel without turning, or cause the gun to explode in your hands because there is absolutely nowhere for the pressure to go.

To my knowledge, the best case scenario would be bullet fragmentation like the German Krummlauf .

Pretty optimistic for a sharp 90 degree curve. But yeah, that would be a pretty best-case, there.
