it looks so pretty ...green trees in amidst the snow!
Gosh... living in the tropics, we never get to have snow, unless we visit the hills. =/
where did you click this from... i mean is it a roadside or what? Cuz I see the snow.. and then the trees beyond it. seems like you were laying down for this photo.

Thank you I still find it a pitty that is so unfocused.
I guess snow is fun, unless you have to be somewhere >.< even more since we go on bike most of the time.
I took the photo from the river side, the road lay higher then that so I didn't have to bow to take the shot of the whole tree

It's close but it's less cold here, It actually was around 29 degrees this week (which is quite hot for us).

I really like the light in this one. The color is wonderfully eerie. Unfortunately 1/2 second is too long exposure to shoot from hand. You can increase ISO, yes it will create more pronounced grain but unless you deliberately wanted it so much unfocused, it should be acceptable.
On the other hand for more surreal look you could use even longer shutter speed. Unless I'm much mistaken your camera should allow 4s in night mode...
This way it mostly looks as unsuccessful attempt.

Thank you for the critique
I'm really just a bad photographer and I don' t really get the technical
story but I will try to understand it and to do better next time.
Thank you

You're welcome.
You were aiming for very difficult shot and managed well enough to convey that the atmosphere was well worth taking the photo. It's more than many people could get. Take pride in that. The results get better the more you experiment and your gallery shows you are not afraid of that. And it shows in your more recent works. So keep up the good work and give yourself more credit!

Thank you for you positive words!!!
I'm not really a photographer, more a traditional artist, so I was getting frustrated when I couldn't get this focused.
So thank you once again for explaining the problem.
Maybe I can show you some better night-view pictures in the future.

Looking forward to it.
I consider a passable proficiency with camera almost a must since like. . . Alfons Mucha even for traditional artists. Though I'd be the first to say it can't actually replace live model.
