Description Here is a close look at the Long, the Eastern Dragons, and their relatives.  Like all short-faced sea-longs they have highly developed sonar, and like all sea-longs must come ashore to lay their eggs.

Kios: serpentine limbless sea-longs, with short faces.

Carp-Long: paddle-finned, serpentine sea-longs with short faces.

Imugi: serpentine limbless sea-longs.

Chiwen: paddle-finned, serpentine sea-longs.

Jailong: semi-aquatic, seal-like sea-longs.

Common Krilin: one-horned krilin.  Like all krilin they have armored scutes interspersed with their coat.

Great Krilin: two-horned kirlin.  They are more robust than common krilin.

Crowned Krilin: three-horned kirlin.  They are also the largest krilin.

Miniwatu: a fully aquatic "carnivorous unicorn".

Campurch: a semi-aquaitc carnivorous unicorn, they have a specialized piscivorous diet.

Bo: large, aggressive, fully terrestrial carnivorous unicorns.

Mushushu: a serpentine three-horned terrestrial "carnivorous unicorn".  Considered by some to be a false-long.  They have a more omnivorous diet.

Peluda: large to medium-sized omnivores with shaggy green fur and long quills.

Alphyn: medium to small sized semi-aquatic canine omnivores with shaggy green fur.

Catablepon: large, stout, robust scavengers with long horns.

Zhulong: small, gracile, long-bodied scavengers with small horns.

Bixi: specialized carrion-eating scavengers.

Ankheku: small burrowing omnivores, many live in total darkness.

Qiulong: sexually dimorphic false-longs.  They do not generate electricity.

Two-toed Long: small, fully arboreal true longs.  They are highly derived and have on two toes with long claws to grasp branches.  Like all true longs, they have round pearlescent eggs and can generate electricity.

Ryu: medium-sized, terrestrial three-toed long.  They are skilled swimmers.

Forrest Long: small three-toed tree-dwelling long.

Rong: medium-sized, terrestrial four-toed long.

Noble Long: small, four-toed river-dwelling long.

Teng: two-winged, legless long.

Yinlong: four-winged legless long.

Elder Long: four-winged two-legged long.

Raiju: small, flightless, wingless, long.  They are burrowing and lack horns and have reduced barbels.

Bashe: flightless, wingless, long. They are semi-aquatic.

Imperial Long: very large, flightless long.  They retain vestigial wings.

Paulao: vocal long with a piercing crying call.

Qiuniu: vocal long who have elaborate musical songs.

Vermilion Long: striking red long native to warm, sub-tropical climates.

Black Long: black, aquatic long.

Azure Long: blue, cyan or green colored longs native to forest environments.

White Long: pale or white long, native to alpine environments.

Yellow Long: large, yellowish, ground-dwelling long.

Hong: iridescent, rainbow long.

Chaoling: arboreal long that build elaborate nests.

Suanni: social long that brood their eggs.

Bian: medium-sized flightless long.

Shenlong: basal, primitive, drab-colored long.

Proto-longs: extinct, flying weasel-like ancestors of long.
