Description
Every criminal is a child, someone's daughter or son,I think of this as I search a crowd, analyzing everyone,
I kiss my wife and kids goodbye,
I straighten my appearance, from shoes to my tie,
Working as a police officer serves a need,
Holding a bandage as society continues to bleed,
An aged man holding his child and a knife,
Doesn't cause hesitation, I picture my children and wife,
My image would be confronted, forced to change,
The arrival of darkness and a phone within range,
A figure had stolen knives and ran off in to the dark,
Standing still in a Northcote skate park,
Waiting for lights that are waiting for me,
I thought I was prepared for I didn't known what I would see,
I search the landscape as the car door I open,
Holding close, the image of my education and words spoken,
My partners hand hangs low,
I attempt to resists, the education made flow,
The figure stands, weapon in sight,
I am fearful, the figure has no fright,
Every criminal is a child, someone's daughter or son,
Staring as Tyler Cassady, I slowly raise my gun.
