Description
I came to a conclusion, as you hide under an umbrella in the rain,However your assumptions of me is wrong, despite the logic slain,
Cars collide; I stare at the impact,
I don't feel the pain, for I stand intact?
I notice the distance between a father and his sons' hand,
I don't feel the pain, for I still stand?
A mother runs towards her struggling kid in the water,
I don't feel the pain, for I have no son or daughter?
An aged figure breathes slowly as he choose to hide,
I don't feel the pain, for I still have time on my side?
A child discovers Santa is a lie,
I don't feel the pain, for with innocence I waved goodbye?
A person reads a bible and challenges what science did leave,
I don't feel the pain, for in a god I don't believe?
A patient battles for life, battles their health,
I don't feel the pain, for with well being I have wealth?
Death, trauma, hunger or an infection,
I don't feel the pain, for I have my infection?
I came to a conclusion, as you hide under an umbrella in the rain,
Staring at my self harm scars you assume, I don't even feel the pain.

I can relate to this alot people usually assume I am stupid, submissive and controllable do to the fact I have Asperger's Syndrome, which I hate having.

Well, me on the otherhand, I find it hard a little bit to socialize with people because of what I went through, but after I graduated high school I have been trying a bit more. I do get easily offended at times too and on rare occasions I am quick to take jokes as insults.
People with Asperger's Syndrome can get a little bit annoying when someone tells us to do things and sometimes people mistake us for Schizophrenics. Once this really horrible English teacher I had asked my in front of the class if I was a Schizo because I had problems paying attention and I would wonder off during a lecture. But I dont talk to myself. And my friends don't even suspect I have it, no one knows. I have no idea what I would do if people find out.

im sure if tehir real friends they will keep an open mind to the things they dont understand, but by telling them yes your taking a risk. sorry to hear that your teacher was so means, she was in a postion of power and misused it, her ignorance and bad people skills caused you grief. still you need to find a way to move on by forgiving her

I can relate to this so much. Excellent work; I love the pattern you have. The repetition enforces the piece perfectly.

Society can be a cruel, cold bitch. In some ways they don't deserve to know the truth. Their judgements make them ignorant.

The reason is their judgement, so you are being logical not judgemental.

self harm does hurt, it just shows people how much hurt we are carrying inside that needs to be let out. people get sympathy when they have a cast on a broken arm or leg, but with mental illness you cannot see how damaging it is. wonderfully written.

i like the point u make and agree, when u see a broken arm u feel bad for the person, but the more deverrstating injuries, the ones u cant see get no sympathy
