Description
One label, one aspect doesn't define me,Forget your conformed assumptions, allow humanity to be,
My teenage years, skinny and blond,
Eager boys would stare, of me they were fond,
Boyfriends stood happily, next to me,
They were my truth, I was their reality,
We saw the future as well as the now,
The gap between and the question of now,
My number increased, time would show,
A path from me, they didn't hesitate to go,
A lower number passed, they let go to follow,
My number would increase, I predict a lonely tomorrow,
Love was lost, to the protection of danger,
Then came the bias stares of a passing stranger,
My number is clear, your assumptions are not,
My broken pride prevents me from saying stop,
I notice a teenager, skinny and blond,
I pretend for a moments as I search for a wond,
The illusion dies, the truth comes back,
I hold a book of science ignoring each fact,
One label, one aspect doesn't define me,
The move overweight I get the less you see.

If you do it for a job, then yeah that can happen. But we are all amateurs doing this for fun: no money involved, just a way to get out art out to people who otherwise couldn't see it.

i get mixed feelings about people reading my poems, i love feedback that helps me smile however also fear it, if someone enjoys my writing than it shows i might be wrong about how i view my self
