A table for two, A partner that flew,
I now stand as the adult, questioning what to do,
A small hand searches for mine,
The footsteps I take, to her a straight line,
I wipe that table and start the day,
Washing dishes, not religious yet pray,
That another will hold my hand,
To wipe that table, next to me please stand,
Potatoes are peeled, vegetables boiled,
Assistance from my partner, reality foiled,
Eyes watch, I'm the isolated note in a song,
I watch her pick up her fork, she does it wrong,
I smile at her innocence, I hug her mind,
A distraction from, yet another bill to find,
Elements arranged, a routine on a plate,
I eat with a smiles, inside me lives hate,
