I grew up in the south, so I never saw much snow. Then, when I moved to Ohio, we got plenty of snow, but I was terrified of it. So, I never got around to building a snowman, ever. However, I've dreamt of creating a Calvin & Hobbes inspired snowman since I was a kid. It's not perfect, I know. I only just realized that i should've added a carrot nose, and the screaming mouth didn't work out too well. Also, who knew it'd be that hard to make a shark fin out of snow??? I'm still happy with it. It was fun!

Now Drew and I are coming up with ideas for how we can create enormous dinosaur footprints that will "walk" across my apartment complex's large courtyard area...

You can make big-bird foot prints by stepping forward, then stepping three times in radial directions with your heel planted in the front part of your first footprint. If you do the left and right toes first, you can actually make you footprints 'walk' through the snow all by themselves. Our first snowfall of the year left a bunch of people waiting at a bus stop for an hour, which is where this knowledge was bequeathed unto me by a random stranger. WALL-E tracks are fun, too, if you have the right boots to make them.

We want them bigger than that! We want people to look down from their 3rd floor balconies and think "what the hell???" And Drew is a perfectionist. He doesn't want our footprints to mess up the mystery of it. He's trying to design some kind of giant dinosaur-footprint thick wooden stamp thing, with a long pole attached so that we can move it in front of us while standing in a print.
