Aw, look at Asdair, all grown up.

He's out in the woods gathering sticks with Sivandra when it starts dumping snow. They take a moment to appreciate it.

Asdair at this point in the story has just been through a VERY traumatic 18 months, and until this winter he's been so wrapped up in recovery that he scarcely took a moment to go outside. It was too scary. Being out (and this far from the Larnach!) is somewhat of a victory for him.

Can I just say, trying to figure out where snowflakes would stick to is exhausting??? I probably missed a few places, but my patience was dissipating and I didn't want to put it away for another day. Just assume it hasn't been snowing for too long.

I'm planning on having another piece out by new years, and then it's back to writing.

I've made this piece available for download (unlike most of my others...) because it makes such a nice wallpaper!
