Holy crap, Rarity was fun to do. She might be my favorite one to draw, along with Pinkie Pie...I ended up going kind of old-time classy with her, to me it seems kind of 40s era, with the curves to go with it.
She seems like she'd go for era dresses, and she'd probably add a shit-ton of her own flair to them as well(WITH HER BEDAZZLER, lol)I frickin' LOVE this pony.
Which as I've said before, is not something I usually say about fashionista archetype characters.
Oh, and I've been watching a lot of Livestreams by *Slugbox since I love his art, and I love his brand of putting shiny details on his work. I was kind of trying to channel that technique here, since Rarity needed a bit of sparkle to her.
And I love how Amy Winehouse's "Back to Black" kept coming up on rotation while I was drawing it. very saucy and sultry, which fed into my feeling on this piece rather nicely.
