Description
For those of you who don't know what they look likeI'm sorry I couldn't get any closer, and I apologise for not getting good pictures of the flares (sometimes there's too much gas and they burn it off, but are now using most of it as a fuel). The oil rig was in use, so I doubt they'd let anyone near it.
I also apologise for lack of a good lens. It was rather sandy and dusty, so I thought it better not to change it then and there. Might've left them at home or in Bahrain, at any rate...

. I did not know that XD. My parents are living in Riyahd on a compound. They seem to like it there. They even became Muslim... but now I feel like they are trying to push it on us x_x.

Oh, sweet. Been to Riyadh. Been there on a basketball tourney, and the school shut down for a bit because a a suicide bomber had tried to attack some oil refinery while we were playing.
Some girls started screaming and crying as if someone died. Honestly...
I'm Muslim too. But it's not right to force people if you just converted, especially if they're not used to it, and the concepts and ideals in that way of life. Well, I don't believe it is. I doubt they'll force you. They'll just do what they feel is best, because they're your parents, and good parents who care generally try to push their kids in what they feel is the right direction.
Do you mind me asking which company sposors them? My Dad works for Aramco.

They kinda broke the just trying to help when they tried to give us 20 pamphlets about the religion, and our x-mas gifts included a Qua ran. My dad is working for Boeing.

lmfao... Guess that would be a downer if you were expecting something more enjoyable instead And it does seem pushy.
I don't get one present even for our celebrations, unless I'm in South Africa where people give money >.< You get stuff from other people though...
Hmm. Ok.

Well, I got other stuff as well, it was just rather funny that they included it in my gifts. We also got a prayer rug.
My parents kinda bended the rules on giving gifts. Decided they would be for "Winter Holiday" instead of Christmas, lol.

Ok now why would you need that if it's going to lie around... Way to go to convince someone is via presure, definitely...
Haha, they do that a lot here!
"Winder vacation", "Seasonal holidays"... all this random stuff. Shops and stores hardly say the word 'Christmas' unless it's on packaging or something. So funny. Valentine's day is apparently banned over here. Or so I heard.
I mean, I don't actually celebrate Christmas but I still wish people Merry Christmas, definitely Happy New Year - everyone wishes everyone else for their holidays no matter what your religion or faith. Comes from having such a diverse community. And believe me, my school in particular is DIVERSE in nationalities...
Come to think of it, I have friends and people to visit if I go to Australia, Malaysia, the UK - both England and Scotland, the USA, Canada, Lebanon, China, here when it's time to leave, maybe Bahrain too, the UAE, Libya, Egypt, Pakistan and uh, well, that's all I can think of for now.
