Seth Rikard, Jorie's older brother and only living relative... but for reasons she's not too happy about. >D I'll post the story sometime if people are curious. ;3This is the first run on his design... it may change later. It's almost a tad too western perhaps.. I was at first going to give him a waist length jacket with sort of a modern racing motorcycle cut... but then that seemed a bit too modern and didn't make too much sense for the warm climate that is where Rikard Arms is situated.
Edit: Fixed some things that were screwy and cleaned up the linework. Altered the vest design as well and added patches to the sleeves.

I rather like his design overall and maybe it IS western inspired- I don't think that's such a bad thing. When designing universes sometimes I think people get a little TOO cohesive in their designs- after all, when you look around at people, we all have different styles and such. *shrugs*

Yeah. I like a few western elements for this universe and particularly this part of the world so I don't think I'll alter it too much. I'll have a slightly altered new version up in a little bit.

I'm liking the face, shirt, pants, and everything except the vest. You're right, it does add that too western feel to it. Maybe the shirt could be reinforced in the elbows and shoulders to add that ruggedness without adding too much weight for the warm climate.
Also, you may want to watch out on his right foot, it seems like he broke it the way he's standing right now.
And just another thing (don't hurt me yet)...give the poor man some crotch room in those pants! They seen a little too tight in that area. Ha ha ha.
Your artwork and style are always a pleasure to see. I look forward to far more.

Oh! I had thought to add patches to the shirt elbows at one point... not sure where that idea went off too. I still like the idea of the vest but I think it needs a more modern or even exotic type cut to work. Think I'll remove the vest in Photoshop and print this a few times and experiment sketching, both with and without.
Could you be more specific on the foot? Is there a portion or angle we're seeing too much of, or not enough of?
RE the crotch. LOL! I'm known for drawing impressive packages so I'm trying to tone it down. I suppose I did too much! I think I need to go back to real life reference before I try again.
