Rage and Terror, the second piece in my 'Elements' series detailing my original character, Griezra, throughout various times in his life.

Griezra attacking a man he longtime considered his friend, Broz. The two fought side by side as mercenaries in the employ of the Monarchy after meeting in the fighting pits, even though Griezra was only there to glean inside information on Monarchy battle tactics and manipulations so he could hurt them--it was his own army of shadows that the Monarchy was fighting, after all. Griezra never had an issue with Broz. Mercenaries fight for the Monarchy that's too afraid to risk its own precious soldiers against the Demon (Griezra's alias) so they hire expendable men to fight for them with money they don't actually have. However, Broz crossed a line when he was willing to kill hundreds of children with a bomb just for more money. This was when Griezra revealed that he is the Demon they've been fighting the whole time--and the truth of what the Monarchy did to him and his people.
And Griezra promised that if Broz killed those children, Griezra would make sure Broz never returned to his own family. Kind of terrifying situation having THAT come from someone you've known as a friend for seven years, standing over you now with a mouth full of razor teeth screaming at you. Broz knows what Griezra is capable of and he never wanted to have to face him in combat.
