Description
When the night is taken by the cold, by the most intense frost, then the dawn shows the colors of life. The haze of purple and blue shows that the arrival of another cold night is coming.
We've had a few darn cold days/nights here (idle-ing around -30 celcius / -22 Fahrenheit as lowest) and every sunset had these wonderful colors.
I was after an harmonic and gentle landscape shot. After a few days I found what I was lookin for. This display shows the easy terrain filled with snow to be backed up by the wonderful sunset. Simple and easy, just the way I wanted it.

You do find some wonderful images. Were you outside when you took this or was it from a window because I agree with you on the cold. It looks freezing in this image!
The title didn't so much make me thing of the night arriving as the first star above the sunset appearing. Night brings out the displays in the sky but it's always the herald that arrives first. Like the first birdsong gives rise to the next show and display a new day creates, the first star of the evening is the bringer of a thousand million jewels in the black sky and if you are at the right time of year, the flow of lights across the sky in the auroa.
The white on black is so beautiful in this image and really makes the firey reds, pinks and purples stand out. I love the choice of trees, draped with snow resulting in a softer feel. It does look cold but at the same time it looks so soft, the decent of night over a sleeping world.
Lovely, lovely image.

Thanks for the great input there.
It's taken from down below ON the ground of course. No through-window shit here, either take it properly or don't take it all haha .

That moment is forever lost and all that's left of it is the memory in the picture.
People still asks why photography is such a great thing .
Thanks dear,

Very nice shot with great light. For my taste a bit too much vignetting, especially at the bottom.

Chers mate.
Yea it's a bit dark there, I wanted it like that so it would balance and give the shot some more dark preassure as well.
I'll light it a bit next time , thanks Mr.A
