"Does your conscience never prick you in the wee hours, robbing you of sleep . . .?"My half of an art trade with *kyla79 - Judge Claude Frollo, from Disney's version of "The Hunchback of Notre Dame", who, I have come to realize, is Snape's long lost uncle or something. I started out drawing him scowly and sneering, and it was looking very . . . familiar . . . with the nose, and the sneer, and the black robes . . .
So it mutated a little bit. I hadn't watched this movie in many a year, and in my search for reference pics, I was reminded of what a scummy guy he is. Hot, but scummy. He's responsible for the death of a lot of people, and that must come back to haunt him from time to time.
Blah. I suck at dark angstiness.

Yeah...they ARE a lot alike...Frollo has this obsession with Esmeralda, although Snape truly loved Lily (even if it was obsessive and possessive), and Snape sacrificed his life to protect her son and atone for his sins. Frollo also looks like Snape a lot, they both have the nose, the attitude, the facial expressions...and the robes...creepy

Oddly enough, I liked movie!Frollo much better than book!Frollo (very rare for me) because he was so much harder to figure out in the movie and was one of the first Disney villains that had a compelling and 3-D character. Also, how can you not get shivers down your spine during Hellfire?

I watched this movie for the first time about a week ago and fell in love with it (thanks to Stephen Schwartz's amazing lyrics). I watched it again and paid attention to Frollo. Turn's out he's wicked awesome! I have some strange obsession with him as well. He's gotta be the most evil Disney villain ever created. He's killed countless people that we're unaware of. Can we say the same about any other Disney villain? And Quasi's mom right in the beginning?! Amazing!
Oh, right, I'm supposed to be commenting your drawing. He does appear to look younger than he does in the movie. He should have more lines to his face. But still, awesome job.

I always felt attracted to Frollo in a weird way. Actually he didn't seem to me that bad. Of course, he had done awful things. But I think Febo is evil.
I read the book in a 'children's version', which was useless because it had all the evilness. Frollo was bad, but Febo was an evil pervert.
I think we all have this thing for hooky-nosed, creepy, sneering old guys. Don't we, mm?
And yes, your hability to use markers makes me drool to no end.

He was my favourite character in te book, I find that Hugo took more time in developping Frollo's personality and inner demons more than any other one of his characters, even Quasimodo.
