Description
For the First Time I want to reveal you the means of the title and the sources of inspiration of this work.Maya is a my nickname and a my character in a role game.
Maya is the name of the Indian goddess of Illusion. We are only character or pawns in her great Dream-Game. She make us to believe that all the things are separated, instead the reality is that all the things is an only one, a great Spirit named Bramahan. Maya creates the Illusion with her veil, and we must to "reveal" (to remove the veil) the Truth over the veil.
In Greek Mythology Maya is the mother of Hermes, the God of art, magic, alchemy, etc... He stole his mother's veil and it becomes a cape of invisibility.
"Maya Vestida" [link] and "Maya Desnuda" [link] are a famous diptych by Francisco Goya
This work is also inspired by two photoes by Helmut Newton named "Dressed, Nude" [link]
Man Ray is a Dadaist Photographer famous for his artistic nudes [link]
The X-Ray, in Sci-Fi Movies, makes to see under the dresses possible
X-Ray is a book of the photographer Francois Nars [link] and there are a lot of artistic nudes in this book

I looked at this one a long time ago, but I really like all of your self-portraits. All my crap is mostly self portraits or pictures I've had other people take of me. If I'm not in it, then I took it.
I looked at your reference for this piece, "Dressed, Nude," and it's completely awesome. Not to mention that the four models were ridiculously beautiful and hot and perfect.

Yes beacuse my life was a divina commedia before I had a terribble accident in my work...I spend nearly 6 moths in a special hospital...And returned back to life again...This is a gift! this is mu "La vita Nova"...I don't owe the inspiration to "Beatrice" but, I am thankfull to Dante Alighieri...florance is the most cultured city in Italy maybe, are you coming from the Medici Dynasty!?...I never been there... I've been Milan, Turin, Udine, Padova, Venice and Trieste very shortly...But I must visit I think...Do you have any photographs of Dante's tomb?
