I'm really curious about the purple mage's relationship with Jafar... when did they meet? Under what circumstances? Why did Jafar decide to teach him sorcery?

the dude that talks a lot seems like yago, although i've yet to see how he gets to be a parrot. the other one is jafar, i'm 110% sure, although up until now i thought the mage was some version of "good" young jafar. that's why i also thought the warrior might be the sultan, jasmine's father, but now i'm having my doubts about everyone. but damn, is this good!
