Description Power Rangers vs RWBY

Experienced, older warriors themed after animals, being able to transform into forms based on them (RJ can transform into the Wolf Ranger and Qrow can transform into a crow), utilizing spiritual energy that others like them can use that increases their natural power. (RJ’s Wolf Spirit and Qrow’s Aura/Semblance.) They both have family members who have similar abilities to them, eventually distancing themselves from them due to a change of heart. (RJ left his father Master Finn because he felt like his Shark Style didn’t fit him, and Qrow left his sister Raven because he didn’t want to become a bandit.) However, while RJ did eventually heal his relationship with his dad after accepting that his Shark technique was important for Casey's growth as a fighter, Qrow outright disowned Raven after she aligned herself with Cinder. The two were teachers at an academy which teaches students how to fight using the aforementioned spiritual energy, with their series' plots revolving around taking down an ancient evil (Dai Shi and Salem) after the fall of those academies and the death of the head leader. (Master Mao and Ozpin.) The two initially seemed pretty laidback, snarky and even somewhat incompetent, but are easily some of the most capable fighters among their peers. Their teams are also fairly similar: a red-wearing initially novice leader whom their previous mentor saw great potential in (Casey and Ruby), a blonde, tomboyish yellow-wearing brawler (Lily and Yang), a more serious, intelligent and experienced fighter who may or may not have a crush on the aforementioned yellow-wearing fighter (Theo and Blake), and a smart-mouthed white-wearing warrior who seeks to carve their own path as opposed to their upbringing. (Dominic and Weiss.)
