Description Background practice... Wanted to learn to draw clouds but ended up going all the way with the whole scenery. Still didn't get a good enough technique to draw clouds...

If someone has suggestions on good cloud tutorials, please tell me!

More like a torn paper than clouds. Volumeless and flat.

Here's a simple cloud tutorial for SAI i searched, might be your interest as the artist kind of have similar style like what (i assume) you're aiming.

Another good cloud painting theory, especially on lightings, is on James Gurney's book, Color and Light p.70 (You should buy the book. Highly recommended).

Before you try again, it is best to practice drawing clouds from life as a starter.

I'm still trying to find the most comfortable way to do that... I think I used a Ghibli movie for reference to this one... Still nowhere near it though. Haha
