Description
I ran into the bathroom to see a long gash on my cheek. "Oh thank God, I just scratched my cheek." I said, as I panted from the diminishing fear. I cleansed the wound, than went back to bed, but I couldn't sleep. Every time I closed my eyes I saw that man, but it seemed like I had seen him before, but I couldn't put my finger on it. I finally drifted off to sleep, and had the first dreamless sleep in a month.
I woke up and sighed, "I'm so glad today's my day off. I hate that stupid outfit, and all those drunken slutty guys." I sighed again, and got up and got dressed after my shower. I slipped on a tee shirt that was a little to big, and sweatpants, and went out to the living room, to watch TV and relax today, maybe even go for a nice walk. I sat watching the television for an hour or two, than decided to get some fresh air and walk to the diner down on the next block. I got dressed into appropriate clothes, and laid the sweats and tee on my bed, to dress into when I got home.
I walked for half an hour, taking my time going the long way around, and finally reached the old time-y diner. I walked in and took in my surroundings as I took a seat in a corner booth. The diner had a black-and-white-checkered floor, red booths, a chrome bar with matching stools that had red padding matching the booths. There were chrome tables in the middle with the same kind of stools around them. It was a fairly small diner, but it was cozy and the people there were nice and very friendly. I was brought back to attention when my waitress came. "What may I get for you today?" she asked sweetly. "May I have a coke, chicken strips, with a side of fries please?" "Of course." she said as she finished writing down my order. She walked back up to the front of the diner, and soon, brought back my food. I ate happily and talked to the waitress, left her a large tip because she was so sweet, and began to walk back home.
There was a long alleyway that was a shortcut back to my house, so I took it considering I had just ate. About halfway through, I stepped in something wet. I glanced down expecting it to be a puddle of water but ended up doing a double-take. My eyes widened in fear. It was blood, and a hand was sticking out of a shadow in the ally next to me. I darted out of the shortcut and called 911. The police and ambulance got there and retrieved the body as I shakily told them what had happened. When they asked me if I could identify the person, I looked and saw it was the man who had touched my butt yesterday at the bar. My eyes widened again and my whole body began to shake. "Th-that...h-he..." I passed out from shock.
