Description
I sat up gasping, but laid back down because I just gave myself a migraine. I forced myself to open my eyes, but the light was to bright so I shut them again. I waited a moment and forced them open once again, making them stay open. I blinked a few times, and slowly but surely sat up. I looked around at the white walls and realized I was in the hospital. I buzzed in a nurse who came quickly. "Yes sweety, what do you need?" she asked. "Am I allowed to go home?" "Yes, but the police are wanting to finish questioning you, so they asked me to tell you to drop by the station on your way home." "Okay." I got up and she helped me go to the door. I thanked her and left.
I stopped by the police station and opened the door. They welcomed me in and had me take a seat in an interrogation room. An interrogator walked in and sat down across from me at the cold steel table. I studied how he looked. He was an older gentleman with black hair that was starting to fade. He had, old, kind brown eyes and a nice smile on his face. "Do you know the man?" he asked. It knocked me out of my absent-minded trance and I say "Sort of, I saw him at my job the yesterday. I know because he touched my butt and I stepped on his foot." "Do you know how this happened?" "N-no. I went straight home after my shift at the bar and had the day off today. I went to the old time diner and got a coke, chicken, and fries, and I talked with my waitress, and I went to go through that alleyway because I had just ate. When I headed to the diner, I walked around the block to get some exercise. When I went through the alleyway, I stepped in something wet. I glanced down thinking it was a puddle of water and I noticed it was blood. MY eyes followed the trail of it and I saw a hand and, and..." I began to shake with the memory, and silent tears fell down my cheeks as I continued. "...I called 911 as I ran out of the alleyway." "Okay." He patted my hand and grabbed it gently. "You can go now okay? Watch out and be careful now." I nodded my head and wiped away the hushed tears. I stood up and he lead me to the front of the police station. I walked out and headed down the street to my house.
I fiddled with my keys as I walked up to the door to find it cracked open. I begin to shake slightly as I pushed the door open. Before I knew it, I was inside and walking through my now broken home. The TV was smashed and the couch was ripped up and flipped. The back windows were all broken, and I walked into the kitchen, unable to control my body. The refrigerator door was ripped off and cracked, and the coffee pot was shattered across the floor. I wanted to run back to the police station but my legs brought me down the wall that had holes punched and kicked into it instead. I slowly, and shakily pushed the bathroom door open and studied it as I had the other rooms. The tile was broken and the mirror was shattered. The curtain was ripped in half and had tears in it as well.
I started to back away when I felt someone grab my mouth from behind. I began to flail as they grabbed my waist and pulled me back. I tried to scream through the hand to no avail. I scratched their arm deep enough to make it bleed and it shocked the intruder enough I broke away. I turned around and it was him. The man I dreamed about that i ran into at the bar. I saw a flash of his eye and remembered. He had tried to kidnap me last year, and I moved because of him.
I darted out, barely faster than him; and I hopped on my motorcycle and sped off leaving him behind quickly along with my house. Out of town, I pulled over on the side of the road and pulled my phone out of my pocket and shakily dialed up an old number. They answered and I said, trying not to cry, "Hello? Justin? I need a place to stay. My stalker's back."
