I got ready to order a beer when I heard someone say next to me, "Hey nice meeting you my names Allen...I don't think I have seen you here before can I get you a beer...?" "Sure, my name's Julia." I smiled warmly at the stranger as he ordered our drinks. I studied him. He had brown eyes and hair that was either light black or dark brown. He had on a black shirt and jeans. I was knocked out of my trance when he said, "So what brings you to Branson?" "Alot...I'd...rather not talk about it." I look away and shudder at the memories. "Oh...I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked." I look up at him and see the sympathy in his eyes. "It's alright Allen...you didn't know." The bartender sits down our drinks and I take a swig of my beer. "So, Julia...do you have a place to stay?" "No, I was going to stay with someone but they were busy so..." "You could stay with me." Allen offered kindly. "Really? Thanks." I said cheerfully. "No problem." He said than took a drink of his whiskey.Me and Allen talked for hell knows how long, and were soon like best friends. We left the bar, and we walked to his house. He was kind enough to walk my motercycle there, and I leaned on him, unable to stand up straight. We soon got there, and he leaned my motercyle up on it's stand in the driveway, and helped me inside. He gave me a room, and left me to sleep. I quickly fell asleep.
I dreampt about running on a rarely used street, being chased. I tripped and fell and was caught. The man pulled me to my feet and I struggled to break free. The next thing I knew, I had fallen to the ground, and looked up to see a stranger holding the stalker by the throat. It was Justin who had stopped my stalker from doing what he planned. The memory shifted and changed until it was a nightmare and the stalker pulled out a knife. I screamed and jolted awake, panting, sweating, and crying. I wiped away my straying tears when Allen jerked the door open, terror stricken across his face. The next thing I knew, he had wrapped me in a hug and was comfortng me. I was shocked, but cried into his shirt regardless. I cried myself to sleep.
I awoke to bandages on my right arm, and the smell of pancakes wafting from downstairs. It took me a minute to realize where I was, but when I recalled all that had happened I walked downstairs happily to be met by my newfound friend. "Good morning." We said at the same time and we both laughed.
