Description I awake to the sky as the sun begins to rise, and sit up, screaming as I slip. I catch the tree limb as I fall, pulling myself up, breathing heavily. Fuck, that was close. I need to find a safer place to sleep for tonight, that's near the waterfall. I carefully climb down, my body feeling a bit less sore than before. I'm covered in muck and leaves, and decide to bathe in the lake at the waterfall. I move towards it carefully, and not bothering to undress, I slowly enter the cool water. I feel my body's aches begin to fade, and while I wish to relax, I know I have to stay alert.

I soak in the water as the sun rises, and the sky turns blue. I admire the beauty of it reflecting onto the water as the surface ripples from every little movement. If it weren't for my current situation, I'd love to stay here all day. Something about the waterfall makes it feel peaceful and soothing, as if I could just melt away. I realize while I'm in the water, my pain is virtually gone. I brush it off as the coolness feeling nice on my wounds. I need to find food. I think to myself as I feel my stomach rumble quietly.

After a few more minutes, I reluctantly drag myself out of the lake, and debate how I'm going to find food as I begin to walk mindlessly. I know eating any fruits or berries could be dangerous unless I manage to recognize them. It will be safer to try and eat meat. But to do so in my current injured, weak status, will be virtually impossible unless I find a way to set traps.

As I distance myself from the waterfall, I hear another, fairly familiar, faint chatter. I cautiously approach it, relaxing a bit as I see a familiar site. A group of partially collared rhesus monkeys. I recognize the youngling that had approached me before, as it does so again, and I pet it happily. I look around, and realize they're in the middle of several trees which have a fruit that varies with green, yellow, orange, and a pinkish red tint. I notice them lazily munching on the fruit, and smile.

I feel something tugging at me, and the next thing I know, the youngling is on my back. I smile, and scratch it's head lightly, before I approach a tree, and begin a slow climb. I feel the monkey hop off my back, smiling as it bolts up the branches, and to what I assume is it's mother. I focus on climbing once again, realizing the aching on my body is starting to return a little. As I get up to a large stable branch in the leaves, I'm approached by a fairly large male rhesus, which studies me closely. I make myself seem small as possible, worried it may attack.

It soon backs off, though it keeps a wary eye on me, not that I can blame it. I carefully pick one of the fruits, and take a hesitant bite, sighing happily at the sweet, delightful flavor of the food. I quickly eat the fresh fruit before quickly grabbing another to satisfy my hunger.

After I finish eating my fill, I decide it will be best to head closer to the waterfall, and set traps. While I'm no longer hungry, I know I cannot live off of one fruit alone. I climb out of the tree, and start to walk off, tearing at my clothes a little to leave markers, so I can find my way back to the fruit later on. As I walk, I keep my eyes open, and listen carefully to my surroundings as best as possible. I hear a faint roar, and tense. Maybe it would be better to make weapons, next. I think to myself, as I quickly realize I'm severely underprepared in case I run into a predator.

I quickly make my way back to the waterfall, drinking some of the cool, fresh liquid. As much as I hate it, I think I need to find my way back to the wreckage I woke up in. I need something sharp to protect myself, and I doubt breaking sticks will keep me alive long. I groan softly, and begin heading in the direction I think I came from. Today's going to be a long day...

Arriving at small group of wreckage unharmed, I carefully begin sifting through it, searching for anything that would be good for food, wounds, or to use for traps and weapons. I gasp as I feel a sting, and quickly pull my hand back, seeing a small cut. I merely shrug it off, and more carefully, I uncover where I reached, and see a small sharp piece of metal. I take it quickly, smiling at my find as I continue to look. After searching for what I assume is a few hours, I go over my finds.

I have a few different pieces of very sharp metal, as well as some twine-like items of varying lengths and sizes, though none are very big. I decide to go back to the waterfall, and begin working on making a few weapons with the metal I found.

The sun is high in the sky by now. It's right around midday. I realize as I return to the waterfall. I carefully set down my items, before looking through the trees, snapping a few small branches and such. I return to my items, and begin to attempt to make a knife. I use one metal piece to scrape and cut at the wood, creating a notch to put the blade in, and attempt to scrape at the metal of another piece to create notches in it to tie it in. Getting frustrated at it not working, I go back to searching, before finding a decent sized rock. I beat the metal with it until I create a dent on each side. When I'm finally satisfied with it, I wedge the metal into the wood, and use some of the twine-like stuff to tie it in place.

I wipe the sweat off my forehead, proud of my go-to knife. I go to stick it in my pocket when I realize what little of clothes I actually have. I grimace, and look up to the sky. I guestimate that i have only about an hour before sunset. I need a better shelter. I think to myself as I stand. I stumble a little, surprised at how stiff my body is. God, I've been sitting for awhile now. I stretch, and begin walking near the bottom of the cliff where the waterfall drops down, looking for any grooves or crevices big enough I could possibly use. I freeze when I see a small crevice with fur sticking out of it slightly. On closer, careful inspection, I realize it's a rabbit.

I move carefully, clutching my knife, gulping quietly at what I'm about to do. I remind myself I need the food, and can use the fur, raising my knife before I plunge it into the small creature. I wipe my tears away as it struggles for a moment, before going limp. I take it back to my go-to camp by the waterfall, as well as grabbing some wood on the way. I set up my firewood, also putting on twigs and leaves to help the fire start to catch. I try to think of a way to start the fire, pacing as I do so. As I debate how I can make a fire, I slash the ground.

I nearly scream when sparks fly.  I study closer and see I'd cut at rock within the ground. I reposition myself, and slash it again, seeing sparks fly once more. I smile, and quickly use a bit of the leaves and twigs from my fire to make a small line out of my campfire. I slash the rock a few more times, letting the sparks catch the leaves. I blow on it carefully, squealing with delight as the twigs, catch, and soon after, the wood. In quick haste, I begin skinning and cutting the rabbit the best I can.

As night closes in, the fire burns bright, and I happily eat the rabbit's meat. I surprisingly succeeded in skinning it pretty well, and some of the skin is still useable. Though it's a small amount, I can maybe try to create shoes with it tomorrow. I debate in my head, as I listen to the comforting crackling of the fire. I stretch out, relaxing in it's warmth, feeling my eyes start to flutter shut.

Giggles echo through the darkness as I look around, trying to figure out where it comes from. I feel myself being watched, but am unable to move my feet. I see a flash of white from the corner of my eye, and jerk my head around, only to be looking at the jungle. The next thing I know, I hear a roar behind me, and scream, running as fast as I can in the opposite direction. I look behind me to see a tiger charging at my heels. It has a scar over one eye, and lets lose another ferocious, demonic yell as I stumble through the jungle, never seeming to get anywhere. I shriek as it lunges, sinking it's fangs into the back of my throat. I'm unable to breathe, and struggle, but it only gets worse. The next thing I know, I'm surrounded by blue-

My eyes jolt open wider as I begin to writhe in attempt to resurface, and gain air, realizing the blue around me isn't a dream. I'm submerged, the roar of the waterfall pounding against me. I blindly flail and struggle, trying to swim away, I keep my mouth shut, refusing to open it as I cough, feeling the water in my lungs. I get out from under the falls, and swim quickly to the surface, gasping and coughing painfully as I feebly feel around for land. My hand touches the cool flat surface of a large rock, and I climb up, shivering as I choke up the water.

After calming down, I look around, my eyes slowly adjusting to the dark when I realize I'm in a cave behind the waterfall. I pant softly, shaking terribly, and curl in a ball as I the cold quickly seeps through my clothes. I bury my face in my arms, crying softly, terrified. Exhausted from the sobbing and nearly drowning, I cry myself to sleep.
