Description
Shane sat down on a seat in the monorail car. He took a few moments of catching his breath before taking a look around. He was alone in the car, the next car over was stuffed with people but none in his."You slipped away quite well Jacob." commented a female vocie. Next to him sat the odd Doctor who was going toe-to-toe with the Whisper. Shane's heart skipped a beat.
She smiled playfully, "Not to worry Jacob. It was only a misunderstanding. One that I quickly realized, by the way, but I felt that it was time to test out a few of my inventions. As of this moment my tests did not go so well but that's part of the process. So tell me what where you planning to do?"
Shane stood up, crossing across the car, "None of your business. Don't follow me." He grabbed the door to the next car and pushed. The door wouldn't budge.
She stood up giving a cold, calculating face, "We are locked in here till the car reaches the other end of the railway, which will be in about ten minutes. You people create large structures for the oddest things. No matter. This 'Whisper' was not a civilian. He was workign for you for something. His nano bots are highly leathal and I can't help wonder why you are going to such troubles. I don't care how heuses them but he must know it is killing him and I'm sure he knows. Why would he choose to wear such a thing unless the ends justify the means. In short I'm curious and your going to tell me Jacob."
"Stop calling me Jacob, that's not my name."
Dr. A laughed patting him on the back, "Of course it is! My fellow Doctor telepathically got it from you. No need to worry, I'm not going to tell anyone. Knowing who you are is meaningless to me but I have to wonder why you never asked any such thing from me."
Shane pushed her hand aside, "What are you babbling about?"
Dr. A focused out the window at the distant forest line, "Hm, I believe I have made a mistake." she turned her attention back to Shane, "Tell me do people have an advanced prototype cellular phones that simulate tellapathic powers?"
Shane's jaw dropped, "What? No. Where is this coming from. What is going on?"
"Really? Huh, I thought that's how people of this universe passed information. Anyway, one crisis at a time. You see, it seems your objective has been comprised."
Shane stepped back away from her, pulling a gun from under his jacket, "Are you with him?"
She didn't flinch at all at the sight of the gun, "No. But it might be my fault for his existence."
The tram shook as it entered the station. Dr. A looked out at the travellers ready to enter the train. She smiled, "It seems our time is up."
