Description
Terminal A, Observation8:39am
Dr. A watched the aircrafts landing every few minutes on the field. She had never seen such crafts before. These large flying machines took in hundreds of passengers at a time and was able to take off through the air. It was hard to believe such devices existed. She examined their sleek design and humongous bulky bodies through her wrist computer network. The data stream pinged every other second.
A playful smile grew on her face, "So advanced...yet so primitive," The scan on her consol detailed several aspects of the plane she had been studying for the past few minutes. It deconstructed the engines, their fuel source, the cockpit controls, and the weight limit in a green wire frame digital picture on her screen.
She turned, still watching her screen on her wrist, "It seems speed was more important then passengers and safety."
She walked down the long terminal passing crowds of late passengers. The few that took their time eyed her and her unique fashion choice. Having thick black goggles strapped over her eyes, a long white lab coat, a light brown leather-like material buttoned along the side of her undershirt with golden caps, baggy off-white pants, an interesting looking metallic belt, and steel mounted on her leather boots. Waking along with a device, what looked like a metal shackle around her left wrist, making pinging noises didn't leave anyone who looked uninterested.
Dr. A did not care. With the amount of traveling she had been through, her technological curiosity was the only thing keeping her moving.
The next object of her interest was a small object almost everyone was carrying. Puzzled she watched all the persons around her hold on to them for dear life. She saw them speak to it with every emotion she had ever seen, study them, worship them. After a while she found a man standing out in the middle of a carpeted corridor, with dozens of these small objects on a cart for sale.
The Doctor strolled over to the cart and examined the objects and their many bright colors. Some were single colors, some had designs, some mad no sense at all but were interesting to look at. On the top of the cart a sign was placed for information about these great and wondrous things.
Dr. A read the sign a few times then looked to the man for assistance "Excuse me, why are so many people talking through machines when people stand around them? They can't all be researchers." she said noticing a small child run by with one, typing a message on it.
The man raised an eye-brow, "It's called a cell phone maim. I only sell them. I don't pretend to understand."
A light glowed on her computer. She stepped away from the confused man and followed the instructions that scrolled on her screen. According to her readings a highly dangerous weapon was approaching her location.
"Why what an interesting looking device Doctor." commented a man standing over her. He had short blonde hair and a very impressive mustache. His clothes were plain white shirt and jeans. The light on her computer increased in brightness.
She waved her hand, "Not now."
The man shook his head, "Of course, of course we understand you perfectly. Your colleagues are incorrect though, there is more to discover."
Dr. A looked up at him, "Who might you be?"
He smiled but then frowned and then looked angry, "I am a Doctor. Dr. Zack Stache. We were wondering where you got that coat. It's nice."
Dr. A smiled, she also thought her lab coat was pretty nice, "I will gladly get you one Doctor. However, it seems a very odd disturbance is underway. If my readings are correct, a very powerful energy source has appeared on my scans. I'm not sure though as it seems to be trying to mask itself in all the radio waves being transmitted from this flightport." she looekd up at him, "I would like to find out what it is. Will you be assisting me Doctor?"
Dr. Stache shook his head, "Correct." and with that he walked down the crowded corridor to a buffet.
Dr. A waved her hand, "Food supplements aren't important at the moment Doctor."
He smiled "I know I was just making a joke. What was your name again?"
Returning to the blinking light on her screen she tapped a few buttons then sighed, "No time for formalities. You can call me Dr. A for now. I can detect it but I can only get a general location. Very strange." She pointed to a stairwell, "This way!" With that she ran off.
