Description Airport Food Court,
8:40am

It was simple, get to the nearest fast food line, which in this case was the restaurant named Mr. Good n' Stuff, order a large meal and begin pre-operation discussion. Shane walked up to the line, it took about fifteen minutes before he was able to order his large Steak Burger, take a number, and take a seat with the other people waiting for their meal. It turned out well. From the way the kids carrying on in their seats it seemed the cooks were taking their time.
Shane watched Rex make his order as he made his way to the seating area, looked around annoyed their were no seats left and out of frustration sat in the chair next to Shane. Though there was a table way in the back that was open but no one seemed to be notice.
"Service here is terrible," Rex sneered.
Shane nodded in agreement, "I know what you mean. But no worries we still have to wait for Hollis-"
Just as that was said a stern looking man walked into the waiting area. He scanned the area with his eyes, seeming to take in all the commotion the other people were making. He moved to the back, taking the chair and pushing it through the crowded seats and shoving it at Shane and Rex's table.
"Hey," called a obvious soccer mom, "Other people want to sit here too you know!" The man turned and gave the woman the ugliest stink-eye Shane had ever seen. The woman backed away, making no other comment.
The man sat, placing a large metal briefcase on the floor next to him.
Shane smiled, "Ah, Hollis. We were just talking about you. Nice for you to drop by."
Hollis only grunted.
Rex studied Hollis for a minute before shoving Shane, "Get to work."
Shane was taken aback, "Fine, whatever. No small chat. Don't have to be so literally pushy." Shane cleared his throat, "Sorry about the briefing being in a restaurant. It's the best I could do on short notice. As you both know more and more crime families have been dropping off the grid. However, there operations still continue on, even more efficiently then before. Somehow. In time my sources, with some of Rex's intel, have brought us to a interesting conclusion. All the roads and traffic seem to be all pointing to one central location. We think it's here, somewhere in the city. Someone is pulling a lot of strings, and it is our job to stop them." Both Rex and Hollis just starred at him, "Well, your job." He said, handing them both a ticket, "These bus tickets will get you to the drop point. There you'll be contacted by my superior."
Rex nodded, "Good, I have words for him when we meet."
Hollis coughed. He pointed to the three tickets Shane had laid on the table. Shane quickly realizing what he did, took one of them back, slipping it in his breast pocket under his coat.
"Ha, that one's mine. Sorry."
Hollis looked at Shane with dull eyes.
Rex looked at Hollis then Shane, "Is he going to be a problem?"
Shane smiled, "No, no. He does say much. Try not to babble on in front of him Rex. He doesn't like too much."
Hollis leaned on his elbow on the table then lazily pointed at Shane.
Rex chuckled to himself, "I think we should-"
Before he could finish Shane's number was yelled out from behind the counter. Hollis looked a bit annoyed but nodded, as if giving Shane permission to leave the table. He did and left the table with a smile.
Shane walked to the counter to find only the burger, "Where's my fries?" he asked the nearest uniformed cook.
She looked at him puzzled, "What fries?"
Jacob had a little thing for fries and on any other day he would have argued with the cook for screwing up his order. However, he knew he had to keep a low profile.
He pointed to the tray that had his burger on it, "I ordered the meal and paid for it. I was expecting a large bunch of fries to be sitting next to the burger."
The cook shook her head, "Sir, the meal doesn't come with any fries."
