And teh predator sketch, because I love drawing their lovely, mandible-ly faces. Either that, or their faces are just a such lovely challenge to draw, I couldn't pass it up. But eventually, I need to move away from the predator and draw other aliens, maybe come up with some of my own. Β

Nice work!Β I can only imagine what a challenge Predators are to draw; their facial anatomy is so not like ours.Β Β Nice details, too!

they are a bit of a challenge, because they don't have the same proportions we do, and when it comes to anatomy, they don't have a nose or a space between the eyes and mouth. Β And their forehead and mouth is pretty much 90% of their facial features, as opposed to ours is balanced between all the anatomy.

It kind of makes you wonder what the original make up designers were thinking when they came up with the design.Β They clearly wanted something very otherworldly, while still humanoid.Β Have you ever watched the SyFy channel series "Face Off"?Β Make up work is pretty neat stuff!

A group effort?Β No great surprise there!Β And it still looks awesome over twenty years later!Β I've been watching Face Off for the last few seasons, and it's really fascinating and fun.Β And it has the friendliest competitors I've ever seen!

I'm rather liking the expression in the eyes. Seems more gentle than you might expect in a predator.

it is, I like to play with expressions on predator faces, because their faces are so complex and different, it's certainly an interesting exercise.
