Description
Finally finished. Many hours and fustration, but its done. But, I'm not that satisfied with how it come out, I'm seriously thinking of doing it a little differently, like maybe cellshade it to get a comicbook feel to it. I seriously think I'm crazy.Original Sketch

Hanzo and Dovahkiin would be proud of her, facing a Yautja as a normal Human. ^^
And i believe the 'Predators' would have liked the Vikings very much

I don't know who Dovahkiin is, but I agree that Hanzo would be proud. I'm surprised I haven't seen any Predator vs Viking comics done by Dark Horse, I would've thought they'd been an obvious choice.

"Dovahkiin" = Dragonborn. The Main Hero from Skyrim, the
fifth Game of the Elderscrolls Game Series - which plays
in a Fantasy Universe with no Equal. Seriously, no kidding.
In Skyrim, you come to the Home Country of "the NORTH(Nord)",
which ---> are a LOT, like Vikings! Many Things in their
Culture is inspired from the Vikings! Even the Draugr...

Ah, ok, I don't play Skyrim, that would be why I didn't know who he was. One of these days, when I have the time and money, I'll definitely check it out.

With only a few Minutes of Time, you already can see/watch
some Trailer's of Skyrim - just please try not to find some
stupid "Remixes" or otherkind of altered Versions ; 3
Examples:
- " Skyrim, Trailer "
- " (Skyrim) Dawnguard Trailer "
- " (Skyrim) Dragonborn Trailer "
Then you m~aaay already see the Vikinger-Part in the Culture
of the North/Nord - and "Dovahkiin" is most often represented
as a tough/muscular North-Warrior with bright-colored Skin
and a very distinctive Helmet with Two (Vikinger-like) Horns
And you will easy be able to find some Pictures of "him" or
Skyrim here on Deviantart, too - just try the Search-Words
" Skyrim " - " Dovahkiin " - or " Dragonborn " , please!

Absolutely! The closest we got was in AVP, and 1) that movie wasn't very good, and 2) they were both more interested in fighting the aliens.

I liked AvP, but you're right, it could've been better. I'm surprised you didn't do a review of AvP and AvP:R, I would love to see what you guys have to say.

Oh, I liked AvP too, but as you said, it could've been a lot better. The comics that came out in the nineties had a better plot, to my mind. Now that you mention it, we haven't reviewed either of the AvPs, have we? We'll need to keep that in mind for a future show! Thanks!

Badass! I like both their poses a lot. They're ready to rumble!
The coloring is really great too. You get a sense of the cold atmosphere. You've got just enough of a hint of a background with those trees too. You set up a great tone for their fight.
The cropping is a little odd to me. You've got more space at the bottom than the top but the only thing down there is a rock. It would have been nicer if you either cropped it to keep the two warriors the focus or added some important object in the rock's place (a bloody hand coming in from off screen, a piece of yautja technology, etc.). That could have given some context to their fight.
After looking at this for a minute, I realized that her torso is about as long as his calf. When you take into account that he's further back in space than her, oh my god, he's gigantic. At first, I thought maybe she was just a tiny person but the skulls are significantly smaller than his. I know yautja are tall but damn.
Overall, this is a great piece. You have the perfect amount of detail and the composition adds a lot of tension.

Thank you, and thank you for the critique. When I saw it in my head, I didn't see body parts or technology flying everywhere, considering they're not going to fight in the same spot. Yeah, I didn't take into account his size when I drew the skulls and then I realized, oh crap, he's huge. But I'm letting that go since it does make him more intimidating.

I actually like it as is, but as the artist you reserve your right to change it, hun. It would be so awesome to see a Predator facing off against a Valkyrie, too, but Vikings are awesome.

the more I look at it, the more I like it. I might go back and recolor, but we'll see, I have a whole lot of other artwork that's calling out to me

Sometimes it takes a little time to grow on us...kind of like a character becoming not how you originally imagined them in a story. If you recolor, I suggest doing a comparison post between them at first. And that means a whole lot of other artwork for us to see be colored. Lucky us!
