Description
Mother nature truly has a green thumb, and in this next bonus course for the earth-themed geo cup, riders get to experience her outer and hidden beauties. Zoetic Grotto is a course of two themes, as riders are shrunken down to miniscule side to appreciate the natural terrain in its purest form. From the outer gardens of the starting part to the hidden underground mushroom forest, riders get to see all of dreamland's flora and fauna up close and admire its beauty. Be careful though as even the prettiest of terrain has its hidden thorns and if you're not careful, nature will take you over as it always done in the end!1. Start off in the upper part of the screen by riding through a large vegetable garden. Surrounded by enormous broccoli, onion, and root vegetables ripe for the pickings, take this time to appreciate the lush green and smell the warm spring breeze! A lot of green-themed enemies from multiple series lurk in the brush. This includes Dangle Sloths and Trakkers from Rainbow Curse, hanging from the vegetation to throw explosive chestnuts at riders or burrowing in the ground, disguising as plants before emerging to shoot cannons. Also, the cute kirby-like beanbon enemies will sprout from the ground alongside their big counterparts, ready to disrupt any riders who cross them. The flying flapbons also emerge from the nearby pea pods to serve as aerial obstacles. Navigate this terrain before entering a large anthill into the hidden underground grotto.
2. Now is where the true beauty of this course starts! Drive some descending turns around a large luminescent root network that extends to the surface. Admire to local mushroom, licen, and plant growths that line the path. Here, some beetel enemies fly around, making sure riders don't disturb the dirt! Once you reach the base of this network, it's time to go back up again alongside a large blue/purple root covered in shelf mushrooms. This part of the course tests your wall-driving abilities as you must ride up alongside the root, using the shelf mushrooms for boosting and to prevent you from falling deeper in the grotto.
3. Reach the top of the root before riding on some more hanging wall mushrooms. Don't let their beauty fool you and the mushroom spores can disorient riders who stay too long! Boost ramp of some more hanging mushrooms for some airtime.
4. Land on a hollow-rotting log in the lower right corner, taken over by moss and fungal growths. Be careful not to fall down into the log or get nipped by the enlarged buggzy enemies that live within it! For the coolest part of this course, ride underneath the prior root alongside some yellow-orange illuminated mushrooms. Gain some airtime in this section but watch out as Pactoflowers float across the terrain, ready to munch riders that get into their way!
5. Land on a large central red mushroom within the grotto. Get some airtime by bouncing along it, but exercise caution as within the mushroom lies the elusive Ant doom enemy from Kirby Top Ride's sand level (bet you weren't expecting that part of Air Ride to return!) He will eye up and eat any rider that gets in its line of site! Leave the mushroom and ride against some more dirt terrain (based on Star Allies underground levels) while dodging a maze of underground root networks from the above vegetation. Watch out for the Sectra Dee insects that also hide within the networks!
6. In the lower right corner, bounce across some more brightly-colored mushrooms and underground vegetation before reaching a clearance in the grotto. Don't let the serene peace fool you as within the hollow log lie large Pipe worms from Triple Deluxe. Your supernova won't save you in this state so make sure you don't get eaten by them as you explore this brush.
7. To finish things out, arrive at the base of an underground capillar-infested tree growing within the grotto. Bounce on a illuminated mushroom that will launch you through an exit back to the surface garden, completing the lab. Hope you enjoyed this ride! Really loved incorporating the multiple fungal and nature-inspired theme into this course!
