Introducing the next course in the mysterious and paranormal phantom cup. Butterfly Bastion pays homage to the grim reaper of the Kirby series, Morpho knight. Only a game like Kirby can someone like the butterfly effect and make it so terrifying. While a butterfly fluttering its wings may cause a storm somewhere else, at this sacred fortress the butterflies themselves are the ones brewing up the storm. An ancient fortress in the likings of a large butterfly built within a field of fire, this bastion is where all the mystical butterflies congregate, ready to ferry off the souls of the damned into the afterlife. Morpho knight's mask and sword lie as the centerpiece, and the elusive leader butterfly patrols the course as well, ready to punish any unwilling opponent who dares to cross its domain. Rider's beware, as you are definitely not in Kansas anymore.

1. Start off on the central lower tower, adorned with banners and a central shrine to the Morpho butterfly. Two paths diverge, with one closing itself off once half the riders take that path, forcing further riders down the other. Drive down to the lower parts of the bastion's wings. Some road bumps allow for airtime, but the main issue are the phantom butterflies that flock. Watch out for their distortion rays that will temporarily disorient any riders that get within the wavelength. Make a sharp turn around the path, be careful not to fall of the bastion into the butterfly fire cyclones below.

2. Next, drive past a large cauldron of fire around the central bastion. Be careful as these cauldrons will send out firewalls in tribute to Morpho knight's attack that can travel across the field. Weave around them so you don't get scorched!

3. Now drive up to the upper part of the bastion walls, adorned with Morpho knight's gigantic butterfly swords. Here' the paths will differ based on your choice. On the left, remnants of Galacta knight are engraved into the walls, and galacta phantoms will occasionally rise from the ground and chase down riders in their path. On the right, Fecto Forgo remnants and spirits will do the same thing. Fecto forgo phantoms are larger, but only two spawn, as opposed to the smaller, three galacta spirits. Drive around the course again and return to the starting tower.

4. Next the course will shift. See the butterfly cyclones on the outer parts of the course? Once you return, the butterflies will re-arrange into a mystic pathway you can ride on. Ride them around the outskirts of the bastion, but still be cautious of those distortion rays and fire cyclones.

5. The path will return you to the upper parts of the bastion. At this point, the large butterfly swords will rise up and point to the center of the bastion where Morpho knight's mask itself lies. Drive up these swords to reach the center portion

6. Finishing up this journey. At the center of the bastion, a final butterfly cyclone guards Morpho knight's mask. Ride up this cyclone that will eventually take you back to the finish line. Congrats, you just raced in the grim reaper's territory and survived! Best be careful next time you see a butterfly in dreamland.
