Description
The proposed final course designed for the custom beast cup, Jungle rumble really amps up the difficulty factor. A full out adventure through the thick, humid bushwhack full of multiple flora and fauna ready to give riders a bad day. The terrain pays homage to backgrounds from Kirby Squeak Squad and Kirby 64, while nearly every member of the beast pack gets an opportunity to shine on this course. Better buckle up, because things are about the get a whole lot more wild!1. Start off through the dense jungle forest, full of trees, vineyards, and shrubbery. In this phase, dangerous plants line the trial, specifically snoozroots and gobchomplins from mass attack. Watch out for poison puddles and snapping jaws as you exit the brush across a river. Here, small gators and large gnawcodiles patrol the waters, ready to snap up and devour riders that aren't paying attention. Hopefully you brought a bigger boat.
2. After crossing the river, drive into an open grassy clearance. Here, large Mookies eye the terrain from mushroom perches, ready to throw hammers and anything they lay eye on. Swerve through their paths onto another open terrain, this time dodging rolling logs as they come down a hillside. For additional troubles, bernard dogs also patrol the horizon, taking aim with their ranger guns at riders. Be sure to prep up on your dodging skills!
3. Next up is a large, muddle cloud forest lined with exotic palms and shrubs. Here, awoofies will charge and lunge at any riders they see. Make sure to dodge them as well as the multiple mud piles. Next, enter a muddy clearance where two buffahorns charge down each direction. Be careful not to get stampeded as you cross over the river again through crocodile infested waters. On the other side, drive through a clearance patrolled by large sssnacker snacks, hungry for any unfortunate puffballs that cross their path.
4. Re-cross the river into a dirt path, watch out for digguh moles that will tunnel from the ground to send unsuspected riders flying off the path. After a sharp turn, a large poison puddle awaits, flanks by 2 poison croakoms that will launch toxic sludge at riders. Use the speed boosts to quickly cross the miasma.
5. Cross another rickety bridge across the river into another grassy clearance. Don't let off the breaks yet, as here large jabhogs wander the terrain, armed with razor sharp needles and ready to pierce anything that gets too close. Once you reach the boost bad, jump over the river again, also avoiding the fearsome gnawcodile jaws to re-enter the bushwhack.
6. Once back into the jungle, dodge some water geysers before driving around a large central tree. Within the tree trunk, large torteners can emerge, ready to chomp down on riders that get in their way.
7. After leaving the large tree, cross one more rickety bridge across the river. This time, instead of crocodiles you need to watch for balloon-meister seals that guard the path. Watch out for their bomb balls as they will blow off sections of the bridge and their shockwaves will definitely send you into the rapids. Once crossing the bridge, a sharp turn through a rocky hill awaits, this time with rabiroos bouncing across the terrain, ready to flatten riders that get in their way.
8. An now for the finale, enter a circular arena like area surrounded by tribal torches. Leongar, king of the beast pack himself awaits. He will claw, lunge, and fire lasers at any riders in the vicinity. Drive out of this clearance through one final turn to reach the finish line to complete the lap. For added bonus, primal awoofies can also run across this field, so don't celebrate too early!
Wow, this course was a BEAR to make, but I'm proud of the final design and it's always good to pay homage to Forgotten land and all the wonderful characters introduced in the game.
