Description I think this in the right section :s

Anyway, here is the first version of the logo I made for the DeviOS

Work In Progess

Here's the original journal

Stupid me didn't save the .xcf file when I was working, and I only have the .tiff I renderd -_- Oh well, I was planning to redo it from scratch anyway.

On the plus side, I managed to get a 7 colour DeviantArt themed palate if anyone is interested, I can post it later.

EDIT UPON SEEING DEVIATION: Oh god DeviantArt raped the .tiff by turning it .jpg -_- It honestly looks alot better that this! xD

Aw, always save your source files!

I also notice that there seems to be anti-aliasing problems from the deviantArt logo.

There is a dA svg somewhere and it should be useful to you.

I saved the original file as a .tiff, and there was no anti-aliasing problems with the .tiff, I used the offical dA logo postscript file. But dA turned it into a .jpg when I uploaded it

I'll be sure to save the source when I redo it

Excellent! Turn the postscript into svg and store it somewhere safe. Always best to use svg and inkscape for this kind of thing in my opinion.

Ugh, I had a massive error with nautilus and librSVg awhile ago, had to boot into the Karmic LiveCD to delete an svg on my desktop that was causing nautilus to freeze

I have the postscript safe away for now, I will do my best to refine the design upon my return from vacation xD Even open source artists need some R&R

Ew, was that in 9.04? I got that error once too, you can kill nautilus by doing Alt+F2 and typing in `nautilus --quit` into the box and press enter.

The svg is really the way to go despite nautilus. postscript, it's good, but it's a printing format not a vector storage format.

I'm using 10.04, and the bug exists :s Might get fixed sooner or later, but it's strange... I used your Ubuntu .svg's for the image and it never screwed up, but what happened was I opened the logo in inkscape and saved it as an Inkscape .svg, then it froze my desktop every time I rebooted xD So there's some bug in there I'm missing xD

Ah well, er report the problem give some screenshots and attach the svg? then we can push it forward in gnome/nautilus and see about getting it fixed.

Sometimes dA does that XD. It likes to mess with your stuff and make it look weird XD. It's a pretty good logo though X3
