I can understand enjoying certain cartoons and liking the characters.
But why would an adult(man) choose to make an entire lifestyle out of something that is essentially entertainment for elementary age little girls =\

First off, I would like to thank Brittney for making very valid points in her reply.
Second, I would like to address your comment.
To begin, thank you for visiting this page and viewing the beautiful art that Brittney here has so graciously taken the time to produce and share with us. Thank you for also taking the time to express your opinion with us all. It truly is a beautiful word we live in when we are free to express ourselves without fear.
I’m not here to start a fight or to give a troll like yourself the satisfaction that your stabbing comments offended me in any way. But I do feel that I need to address a very valid point that you’ve brought up and explain myself, especially seeing that my character has popped up time and again in Brittney’s art.
Everything Brittney has said about me is true: My life doesn’t revolve around MLP. I have a normal 9-5 job, I own a car, a house and I am involved with other things outside of MLP. It’s true that there are some people out there that have taken their love to an unhealthy obsession. However, that’s their business. It is unfortunate that the very few cases out there is what the media latch onto to label the entire fandom as “crazed fans of a show made for little girls.” But that's just a matter of society today. People like to hold onto the negative things. People like to take the negatives and use that as a label for an entire group of people because that’s what gathers attention.
Yes, I am a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I am a Brony. Yes, I am an adult male who is a fan of a show that was originally geared toward little girls as a platform for selling toys. But being a fan of something doesn’t automatically mean your life must revolve around it or that you are completely obsessed. People who are Disney fans aren’t ridiculed or hated for being Disney fans. But I understand your viewpoint. This is a form of entertainment that was created for the purpose of selling dolls to girls. But just as Brittney has stated, that wasn’t how this generation turned out. Because of the way this new show has presented itself through creative writing, gorgeous visuals, stellar music and phenomenal acting, it found an audience that even the creators weren’t expecting. There’s no denying it, the primary mission of the show is and always will be to sell toys. However, since the start of the show in 2010, the writers have noticed the popularity of their creation from more than just the “elementary-aged little girls” and have since started to focus more on the inclusion of all ages and genders. Past generations of the franchise have focused more on the “girly aspect.” And that is what most people think of. Heck, even me. If you had told me 5 years ago that I would be in this fandom, or even LIKE the show to begin with, I would never believe you. After all, My Little Pony is for “elementary-aged girls.” But that's what’s so different this time around. Instead of having a show oozing with girly overtones or with a “girl power” attitude, the creators chose to focus on stories and characters that appealed to more than just girls. They told stories that didn’t talk down to their audience or had characters that were complete airheads and could not learn from their mistakes. The characters all have their own real-world relatable personalities with their own strengths and weaknesses therein. If you were to take the personalities of these characters and change their gender from female to male, the stories and characters would still be just as loved.
This isn’t about liking a show for “little girls.” This is about enjoying and relating to stories and characters with real-world relatable problems, regardless of age or gender. If a girl can be a fan of something like Marvel’s The Avengers, why can’t a guy be a fan of My Little Pony?
Being more than just a fan of the show, the Brony Fandom itself has become a welcoming and loving place for me. In fact, I dare to say that I love the fandom more than the show it’s based on. There is so much love, friendship, camaraderie and creativity found everywhere! It’s an amazing thing to behold. No one is judged for what they are, but instead accepted for WHO they are.
If you are to take anything away from this, I only hope it’s this: Don’t judge people for what they are or give them stereotypical labels without knowing who they are. You may just be on the receiving end of such judgement one day. I’m not saying in this particular fandom, but it could be anything in life. It’s the fear of what we don’t fully understand that causes us to be cautious of or even hate others. But if we all learn to be open-minded and not throw rocks at what we don’t fully understand, the world may one day be a peaceful place to live.

There are a few things I could say about this, but I'll try to limit it for now.
My first point would be that the creators of the show actually made the show in attempts to create something that entire families could enjoy together. And as you can probably see, regardless of your view of the show, it worked. There are a ton of people from various ages and gender who enjoy the show, and as someone who also enjoys the show, it's completely understandable why.
Secondly, Bonus isn't actually one of the ones whose entire lives revolve around the show. He has a normal job, and does normal things outside of the fandom. He has a lot of MLP merch, but aside from that, I don't think the fandom really affects him where Bronies are not.
Another excellent thing about the fandom, are the fan-artists and fan-creators. The community is very welcoming (for the most part) and we have loads of things inside the fandom to enjoy. I know you probably aren't seeking a lecture about how Ponies will change your life or anything, so I'll try to keep this short. But fananimations are just one of the many things that tend to draw in older audiences. Especially with fanmade video games, like Fighting is Magic.
I'm extremely thankful for this fandom, as I've met so many wonderful people from it.
Anyways, I'll stop now before I go too deep into this. Sorry for the rant— I just figured there were some points I could make in a Brony's defense.
