My Version Of Gigan.ZBrush 4, Photoshop CS4, Vue 8
Ok, this will have to be my last installment for this year.
This design of Gigan is inspired from the final wars Gigan, which i like, using the colour scheme but taking away the 'Giger's-Alien-like' patterns. I was also inspired by that robot from Laputa Castle in The Sky, its simplicity and the feel that It is ancient but high tech.
I am attempting to create a Gigan which is like an ancient destroyer by an ancient alien race. Much like a seek and destroy cyborg monster.
I am quite happy with the final result and i think i have maintained the gigan character. ( ihope) let me know what you think.
This Gigan is powered by the Red Crystal. More powerful then the Yellow. The space crystals are main the cause of war in this series.

Nice work, But Gigan now looks more like he was just clawed out of the depths of Robot Hell from Futurama. In other words, I'd say that the original designs were better. However, that doesn't mean it's not great! It's actually quite amazing!

Quit of an interesting take on Gigan, really looking way more mechanical that in the movies. Final Wars is still my favorite do, but also is incredibly awesome !!

Personal I thinks Gigan is better when he can stand up straight but that's just me. You design is still good.

I really like it.
Though I wish it was more humanoid, it's castle body is somewhat distracting and it seems like if it got in a fight, it'd get its' collosal ass beat down hard becase of lack of mobility.
Though over-all that is some damn fine model work, man.

If I'm allowed to give my own backstory for this and your megaton design, it would be in operation final war, the originals were both killed, and these are mechs made with the " OH SHIT WE GOTTA FIX THIS!" mindset
