Description
This bracelet design reminded me of grapes on a vine...hence the name.Pattern by Donna Graves and published in Bead & Button magazine.
This was a commission for a friend who chose the design herself. It's not the sort of thing I would normally choose to make, but I think it turned out quite well. I also made another one in more subtle colours which I will post soon.

Hey there,
it's called the Nepal stitch. I did a search on the net and found this very detailed tutorial. Happy Beading!

the Nepal stitch! I was planning on doing something very similar for Mother's Day this year. This is beautiful.

Thank you so much. I'm not usually into delicate jewellery, but these bracelets turned out just lovely. And thanks for letting me know the type of stitch.

Sure thing. I'm kind of new to bead weaving myself. I've made a variation of the daisy chain stitch for years, but all of these others I haven't. Some are so gorgeous! You might look into the "hugs and kisses" stitch. It's a little more delicate than some of your work, but it's a lot more substantial than this one. It's fun and easy to make.

Thanks for the advice. I will look up the "hugs and kisses" stitch. Fun and easy is definitely in order at the moment!

Thank you, and agreed. I wish I could take credit for the design, however I'm a very new student to the bead weaving world.

Wow this is really cool! It's like a fancier version of the daisy chain!

Thank you. I'm still relatively new to bead weaving and all the different patterns out there, so I'm not familiar with the daisy chain (except for the ones that I used to make in the backyard). For this pattern, you have to do the vine first, then you go back through and do the flowers(grapes!) afterwards. It's a pretty clever pattern, because you are reinforcing the vine component as you work through the piece to place the flowers.

I so love the photo of the bracelet draped over the wine bottle. Very befitting given the title of the piece. ♥
