This is how I made my Bowser Shell:

1) Using a large cardboard box I cut out a basic shell shape. I then cut a line to the centre of the shell and folded the sides together, like you would when making a cone shape out of paper.
2) After sticking the cardboard in shape, I scrumpled up sheets of newspaper to make the rim of the shell and taped it down.
3) With thinner cardboard I made 7 small cones for the spikes and stuck them on with tape
4) I mixed 2 parts PVA glue to 1 part water and ripped news paper into strips. I then started to paper mache the shell.
5) After the first layer was dry, I put one more layer on, then painted it when dry with a white base coat.
6) I then spray painted it with white paint to make it more even.
7) I then covered it with a 3rd coat of white so that the newspaper underneath was hardly visable.
8) I covered the spikes and rim with clingfilm, and sprayed the shell green with spray paint.
9) After drying I peeled the clingfilm off and painted a lighter green around the spikes.
10) After the green paint had dried I painted a brown line at the base of each spike!

And this is how far I am.. All I need to do it add straps so I can wear it and paint the spikes and rim with GLOW IN THE DARK PAINT!!! Its gonna look sooo cool under the UV lights!
