My first Sonic fanchar in Sonic ModGen style:

Zera Bio:

Name: Lina the Cat
Age: 16
Type: Speed Type
Weapons: none
Powers: Cryokinesis (Mental Ice Manipulation). Lina however, needs her bracers (Colored gold on the sprite) to help her control her powers. When exposed to the energies of all seven Chaos Emeralds, she transforms into Cryo Lina.

Backstory (Archie Universe):

About 150 years into the future from the current time in the comics, Lina live in a world that has suffered its ultimate defeat. 150 years earlier, a race of extra-dimensional beings known as the Metarex invaded Mobius. Sonic and his friends fought valiantly, but were defeated and killed, and the royal family was obliterated. Eggman and the G.U.N. tried their luck, but were defeated as well. The survivors chose life instead of obliteration and were forced to live in conditions reminiscent of the ghettos during the reign of the Third Reich, forced to mine the planet for any precious metals and gems, but primarily to inflict a long and suffering extinction. It was in one such ghetto Lina was born. When she turned five, it was revealed that Lina had the powers of Cryokinesis.

Fearing any possible retaliation from their Metarex overlords, Lina's parents abandoned her in an alley, sure that she would eventually either starve to death or accidentally reveal herself to the Metarex and avoid any connection to her real family. This plan was foiled thanks to an Overlander named Nathaniel Reese, a doctor who treated his patients for free be they Mobian or Overlander. Dr. Reese developed bracers from a few Power Rings that had survived the devastation that allowed Lina to control her powers. After Dr. Reese was sent to a concentration camp, Lina went underground, and came upon a group of beings who were trying to overthrow the Metarex. Lina became their most powerful member, proving herself vital to the resistance, and turning her powers on those who would have killed her given the chance.

During one such assault on a camp, Lin came across her parents, who tried to use their familial bond to get Lina to help them. Lina responded by telling them that those bonds were cut the moment they abandoned her, and left them to their fate, just as they had left Lina to hers.

Eventually, the resistance realized that the only way to stop the Metarex was to go back in time to before they attacked and help Sonic and his friends during the initial assault. They attacked a Metarex ship in an effort to capture whatever allowed them to move between dimensions, revealed to be a Time Stone. One by one, the resistance fell on the ship, eventually leaving Lina alone to grab the Time Stone. Using it and Chronos Control, Lina traveled back in time in time to interfere in a battle between Sonic and Metal Sonic. After handily defeating Metal Sonic, she told her story to the Acorn Council and Sonic.

When the Metarex arrived, they fought fiercely until Sonic and Lina discovered that this was the same group of Metarex that Lina had fought in the future. They arrived in a dimension, plundered it for resources, then destroyed it. (This is what happened to Lina's own dimension, protected by the Multiverse theory into two dimensions, one where Lina never traveled back in time, and the current dimension, where she did travel back in time.) After gathering all seven Chaos Emeralds, Super Sonic and Cryo Lina fought the Metarex Leader, but it wasn't enough. When the leader threatened to destroy their dimension, Lina poured as much power into her Time Stone, Lina used Chronos Control to take herself and the entire Metarex fleet to the moment of the Big Bang, and used one final Chronos Control to abandon the Metarex there, where they were destroyed in the Big Bang.

This final Chronos Control destroyed Lina's Time Stone, forever trapping Lina in her past. Lina then opened an ice cream shop in New Mobotropolis, and later used the shards of her Time Stone to free Zera from crystal stasis.
