Okay, this piece might not be the best I have to offer, but I put a lot of heart and thought into it.The struggle for gay rights and equality is something I feel very strongly about. In the elections last week in Ohio, the Gay Marriage Ban passed by a sickingly huge margin. It disguested me that people can still be so ignorant and small minded in this day and age. I had to get my anger and frustration out, and so I poured out how I felt on to a piece of paper.
The words, "These Colors Don't Run" were used after the 9/11 attacks. They were supposed to show terrorists that America stands strong and that they will fight. Well, I colored them in so that they would stand for another kind of fight. I won't be backing down on this issue, and I hope the rest of you fight so that we can have equal rights.

from wat i understand, in the end, the supreme court will have no choice but to legallize gay marriage because of the 14th amendment: all US cizitens are to given equal rights and oppurtunies. some stupid close-minded people say that they should get rid of that amendment but if they do then the 13th, 15th, and 19th amendments are disregarded as well.
13th: abolishes slavery.
15th: gives blacks the right to vote.
and 19th: gives women the right to vote.
i believe that we will win in the end, even if we are dead and gone when it does cause look how long it took blacks to get their rights, it's just a matter of time.

awesome! not only do i like the art, i totally agree. i dont believe that the state should ever meddle in moral issues. yes, marriage is something the state has to give, but i believe it should be up to the church that gives the marriage whether or not the couple gets married. but anyway awesome deviation! keep up the good work!
