Description
A character selection screen for Super Smash Bros that I designed based off of the selection screen in Naruto Shippuden: Storm 3 and Revolution, with a few elements from PlayStation All-Stars. Also, despite looking like a Naruto game, it still uses the Smash bros gameplay. The roster itself doesn't represent my wishlist for the new Smash Bros, but instead merely features all of the characters that have been playable in the past or are currently confirmed for the new games, hence why I include Solid Snake even though I believe he won't return in Smash Bros 4. There are a few exceptions, such as three specific members of Melee's forgotten five, but I've merged them into the same slot as other characters due to the new moveset customization feature that was detailed upon during Nintendo's E3 conference.
Anyway, onto the layout of the picture. Despite the fact that only two characters are pictured, the game would still support four characters like the other games. 49 characters are pictured along with a random selection icon, giving the screen a total of 50 slots.
Featured at the very top of the screen are the current battle type and the buttons that change the character colors and open the battle settings menu. Featured at the bottom of the screen are similar buttons that indicate going back, confirmation, customizing special moves, and changing a character's Final Smash (if they have more than one). The characters are organized with others from their home franchise, and all third-party characters are grouped together in the center of the bottom row (much like the support-only characters in the Naruto games).
For the "Customize Specials" option, it sounds exactly as it is written. You would be able to switch out any of the character's four special moves with different attacks, much like you will be able to do in the new Smash Bros games. The "Change Final Smash" option hasn't been announced for the new games, but as it sounds, it would allow you to switch out the character's Final Smash just like with the special moves.
Onto the characters selected. As you can see, Link's name is written as "Link (Hyrule Warriors)". Just like with the Naruto games, this Smash bros would have alternate costumes and as Link displays, he is wearing one of his. This is also indicated by the numbers shown above his portrait. The numbers 1-3 are written, with 1 and 3 appearing small and transparent while the number 2 is large and solid. This indicates which costume Link is wearing, being his second outfit. Over on Mewtwo's side, the number 1 appears large and solid while the number 2 is small and trasparent. As Mewtwo's name is written without a subtitle in parenthesis, this shows that he is wearing his default costume. Also, as shown between Link and Mewtwo, some characters have more costumes than others. I may make a list of costumes later, but for now, we won't worry about it.
Also shown under the character names is the chosen Final Smash for the character. As mentioned before, these can be switched out with alternative Final Smashes, so it makes sense that they would be listed with the character selected, much like the Ultimate Jutsu of the Naruto characters. Finally, next to the character names are the controllers that the player is using. Shown here, the Link player is using a Wii U Gamepad while Mewtwo's player is using a Pro Controller. This feature was first seen in Smash Bros Brawl and will likely return in the new games.

He's there just because he was playable in Brawl. Once all of the characters for the new Smash Bros have been revealed, I'll make an updated version of this.
